Hi Junaid! I discovered your channel very recently and I am just loving your podcasts. I am also an aspiring pilot. Currently I am a bit confused on whether I should go for commercial flying or should I try joining the IAF and become a fighter/transport pilot there. Can you do a podcast with some retired flying officer of the IAF who is currently in civil aviation so that we get some insights on what are the differences of both the professions, life in the IAF and life as a commercial pilot etc etc.

The chance of getting an airline job straight after CPL is 0%, only way to get a job is the get an instructor rating which is 50/50 or go up north and compete against the rest.

One can do charter piloting in smaller aircrafts till they get 100-150hours additional to their cpl hours. Many Airlines in asia do take second officers with 300 hours of flying.
