Maybe, just maybe, you've got this all wrong. Allah doesn't need your gratitude, or your prayers. They are for you and you alone. You project onto Allah your own vanity and fears. Does Allah really need your prayers? Has he an ego that's adultation? You belittle him to the kevel of man.
