@jkeelsnc8 ай бұрын
Because it is cheaper. The long term people command a higher wage and expect more compensation as a result especially if you promote them. You will say, “well, that doesn’t make sense when it costs time and money to train someone.” Wrong. You do very little training. Throw the person into the tank with the sharks and tell them to swim. If they can’t then you bully and insult them and tell them to use Google or other resources by themselves to learn how to do the job or learn from your team members but not too much because that requires their time when you can just figure out how to do it yourself. You will contribute more to your team by understanding everything on your own. Interesting concept but a true one at least where I work. The longer you are there the more you will be punished because the more it will cost the company. I always had the mentality that I should never ask for a raise because it will be offensive to management and they will just find more ways to punish and blame people who cost more.

Not really. My employer told me to not turn on my computer until bang on start time, even when I said I needed to give myself more time to learn the processes then they shouted when I hadn’t left by 1 minute past the finish time. I am drowning in my first two weeks and I’m not standing for it. So, hard lines.

hell no! I've done this. you just burn yourself out. it's a horrible way to live. "I hate my job so I'm going to hate my life even more by pretending to love this job" some relationships just don't work out. know your worth and know when to walk away.

"Coincidentally", true that sir! Love this mentality, even staying an extra 15-30 minutes gives me a sense of accomplishment knowing I'm setting up the next group for success instead of screwing them over like everyone else.

I work at a gas station the size of a Kiosk. I been getting there an hour early and staying an hour late. They called the cops on me…

I work in a job with an unstable management staff and a narcissistic supervisor. I’m good on staying late anymore.
