Kinda weird how the song brought me back to remember this, but the song doesn't really talk about war

no, i actually used the X, Os and Triangles to avoid the association with real countries and keep it at a more abstract level. The nice side effect is that people always interpret it to be the story of one of the wars that happened during the last 100 years - my intention was to keep it as simple as possible, so that it's basically true for every war ever happened.

I remember watching this back when I was maybe 10 years old. I loved the song and the animation but I could never find back the song even after posting on forums about it .. I thought this language was something eastern-european .. now 11 years later , I'm learning Norwegian and I come across this coincidentally while browsing spotify. Now I did not only find the song I liked so much but now I'm actually even able to understand (somewhat) what it's about. Awesome:)

Fun fact, this song has nothing to do with War. It's about a couple brothers and friends playing Russian Roulette and the brother "Tony" is killed, and tells his father Tony left the country, and then gives Tony's doppelganger a lump sum of cash to leave the country.

no problem, it's nice to see that at least some people care about the original creators ;)

Its so weird, I watched this YEARS ago, and absolutely loved this song, then I became best friends with a norwegian dude, and I was singing this one day and he was like HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW THAT SONG?!? It was hilarious! Though he said the lyrics don't make sense to what's going on in this video, but I don't care, its still an epic animation!

This animation was how I got introduced to Kaizers Orchestra years ago. Two days from now I’m leaving to London to see them play live. What a ride it’s been all these years.

I would use "170" for this, which is a war song, not "bak et halleluja" but the intensity and melody of this song fits the short film.
