War For the Planet Of The Apes Movie Desciption:
Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.
War for the Planet of the Apes is a 2017 American science fiction action film directed by Matt Reeves, who co-wrote it with Mark Bomback. The sequel to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), it is the third installment in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise and the ninth film overall. It stars Andy Serkis as Caesar, alongside Woody Harrelson and Steve Zahn. The film takes place two years after the events of Dawn and follows the conflict between apes and humans as it has escalated into full war, while Caesar sets out to avenge those he has lost.
Development for War for the Planet of the Apes began in January 2014, after 20th Century Fox viewed Reeves's cut of its predecessor; his return was soon confirmed, along with Bomback's. A conditional 2016 release date was announced in May 2015, which led to a closer and faster pre-production relationship between writer and director. The film shares similarities to Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973), with emphasis on the effect of psychosocial development and interaction of apes and humans. Casting began in August 2015 and finished that October, with principal photography commencing soon thereafter and concluding in March 2016, with filming locations including Lower Mainland and the Kananaskis Range.
War for the Planet of the Apes premiered on July 10, 2017 at the SVA Theatre in New York City, and was theatrically released worldwide by 20th Century Fox on July 14 to critical acclaim. Praise was directed at Reeves' direction, Serkis' performance, visual effects, themes, emotional weight, Michael Giacchino's score, and Michael Seresin's cinematography. War for the Planet of the Apes was a commercial success, grossing over $490 million, and received numerous awards and nominations, including nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Special Visual Effects at the 90th Academy Awards and 71st British Academy Film Awards, respectively. A standalone sequel, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, was released in 2024.

Rocket’s character progression is one of the best in this series. He went from being Caesar’s rival in Rise to being fully prepared to die for him here.

I love the progression of how efficiently and fluent Caesar becomes with speaking English. It’s subtle if you’re just watching the movies as they released. But comparing War to even Dawn, Caesar sounds almost exactly like a human. Barely any struggle or difficulty in pronouncing words.

It’s never really understood what happened to bad apes child, or his family. However when he said “do you think you’ll find him at the human zoo?” He was referring to Cornelius, meaning his son isn’t just captured. He’s gone, bad apes is alone.

There is a theory that the irate and illogical strategies and moments humans in this movie be having is because their brains are slowly devolving. By the end of the movie they are just shooting at each other with no strategy and before you have a human go in a cage full of apes like he couldn’t any second. A lot more illogical shit be happening and it’s so scary . The Kerna was strategical till he wasn’t

I recently watched all of the planet of the apes movies and TV shows, and I have to say War remains my second favorite after the original. It's kind of a guilty pleasure, but so many of the criticisms of it have to do with people not really paying attention to the film itself. Not to mention it's the only film not to lift any of its plot elements off of previous films in the series (though some say it "rips off" Apocalypse Now, but I digress).

Hi, thanks for reacting to War your reaction to it was great. I adore this trilogy and Kingdom and I adore Caesar and Noa from the new one. I went to the cinema to see Rise, Dawn, War and Kingdom. I’ve said this before but i’ll say it again these movies are criminally unappreciated and underrated plus Andy Serkis and the other ape actors deserve awards by the bucket load and not just be snubbed because the film industry doesn’t like or fully understand motion capture. This is the film that splits people. Some people were expecting an all out war like the beginning of the film and find the title misleading while i see the the film as a war within Caesar he’s struggling to stay the ape he was or become like Koba and get his revenge feelings he’s never had before. I hope you stocked up on tissues before this movie. Every time i watch War i cry it still hurts. Thanks again. one more thing fun fact about Kingdom it was shot entirely on location in Australia with only 30 minutes of actual cgi. Take care 😘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 #ApesTogetherStrong ❤️ #CaesarNeverForgotten❤️💔😭🤧 ❤️ #TeamNoa (Kingdom) ❤️

i believe that Caesar has better speech than the others because he was born with the ALZ-112 already in his body from his mother, then he was exposed to the newer ALZ-113 (fatal to humans) which was like a double dose for him, making him a bit more intelligent than the others. (Just a theory) 😁
@HTMN161
@HTMN161 2 ай бұрын
His speech is better than everyone else’s because he was raised as a human by will, but he and members of his lineage will have higher intelligence overall than any other apes because of the 112, if Noa is descended from Caesar (which is most likely the case) that kinda explains why he is was able to assemble and repair the cattle prod without ever seeing one before or knowing how it works

That’s an interesting dynamic. Caesar started with his mom (who if I’m remembering correctly was being tested with the same Virus don’t exactly remember) and was killed trying to protect him and he was taken in to be raised by humans. The father in this movie was killed trying to protect his daughter who is messed up by if I’m correct the same virus and was taken in to be raised by apes. Though caesar is for apes to be for themselves he accepted what would be considered an outsider to his people like he was to humans.

I think this trilogy, the second trilogy that started with 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' and the third trilogy I've heard is planned are the prequels to the first movie from the original five at least ('Planet of the Apes', maybe the second one as well 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes', and then in the third movie is where the timeline changes because there's time travel involved ('Escape from Planet of the Apes') and maybe in the fourth movie 'Conquest of the Planet of the Apes' because of the original ending and the added scene (personally I liked both because either way it ended on a good speech, and since we ended up getting both speeches in the Final Cut it's sort of a win-win) which is how we ended with 'Battle for the Planet of the Apes'. What do you think?
