I love watching movies like this. Especially war films. This story immediately reminded me of the WW2 film , hell in the Pacific. Lee Marvin. EXCELLENT MOVIE WATCH IT. thanx for this movie. 20 minutes in and I love it.

At 1:08:00, you can hear Ah Seng is speaking in hokkien/taiwanese which is one of the main languages for south east asian Chinese community instead of mandarin which is prevalent in northern china. I appreciate the historical accuracy of this movie.

At the risk of paraphrasing *Nicholas Williams* [below], a refreshing bit of movie entertainment, without language... Reminds me of the classic cult movie - Hell In The Pacific - Toshiro Mifune & Lee Marvin, only without the angst. Great acting by both actors. Exquisite cinematography and sound track. A very good upload indeed. Thumbs up!

In response to Mr OJ, comment there’s no chinese fought against Japanese army during the WW2 & no such uniform chinese solider exist.. with reference to the movie we had jus watched..notice the Chinese soldier, at the scene when he accidentally bumped onto the Australian solider, he spoke something to him, the language he spoken was actually Hokkien, saying “you also have no gun?”. Notice another scene after the Australian solider got himself out of the parachute, he took out his stuff to check what he had on hand, the map he opened up, actually shown the map of Malaysia all the way to Thailand. With this piece of information of map, we know that the Australian solider must had landed himself in one of the Asia country where during the time at WW2, Japanese Occupation period: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam (with reference to the map he opened up).. and base on the dialect language spoken by the chinese solider, he must b from one of these countries, as Hokkiens are one of the largest group of chinese native in these Asia countries that speaks Hokkien: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, China (Fujian).. There were many chinese being killed during the Japanese Occupation Period, mainly reason is because of they are trying to get rid of chinese students that are braved enough to form their own anti-Japanese army guerrilla missions, sacrificed their lives to fought against them as everyone during these dark period experienced inhuman tortured, massive raping, masssive brutal killings, hunger death and hopeless despair. I am a Singaporean, I never witness WW2, but my grandmother she did.. Mr OJ comment about no chinese had taken part in fighting against Japanese army during these period is not true. According to Wikipedia summary plot of the above movie, the chinese solider is a Singaporean, at the period of WW2, this is the fact under the history context of our history text book that we all Singaporean studied in our history lessons in our Secondary school that, there are really chinese students formed anti-Japanese underground mission, to defend our own people at that dire period, sacrificing their own lives, fought for Singapore. Having said these, all chinese borned, we all knew that SIngapore is not the only country tried their very last breathe to fought against the Japanese Army during this period, China too, had many well known well told history, Hope everyone who watched this movie aware of this real fact.

An excellent movie between two men who HAVE no verbal dialog. I enjoyed watching and it is nice to be told a story without words or vast amounts of budget. Respect to the Artist´s and Uploader.
