Here are a couple things I've figured out for myself that Phly didn't mention that might help some players out :) -The HE-MOM shells on the Harpy act as "smart bullets" when locked onto an enemy aircraft. (the bullets actually track like missiles and are effective out to ~6km) -You can also lock onto enemy tanks with the Harpy's AA missiles. - When spawning into the Wyvern, always take the "Smasher Tactical Missiles", you can carry 2 and they negate APS and will 9 times out of 10 result in a kill. Also are easy to multi-kill with. (fire from 6k+ alt to stay safe from enemy Harpy's)

Hey phly, for war fare 2077 theres something really fun you need to try before its gone, use the hydra and spam rockets, while mid air with the rocket press alt + x to lock onto the tank and then shoot another and repeat, you get a bunch of hits and a kill after about 7-8

You can call that several things. It would be APS for "Active Protection System" which is also sometimes described as "Hard-Kill Protection" as opposed to a "Soft-Kill" which would be something like the T-90's laser dazzlers.

This April fools could be a test for: Guided missiles that your cam follows Active defense systems And most of all possible armor degradation

The only invisible tonk in game is the M47 105mm that phly hasn't played

Phly, you can use the alt+X lock-on to lock onto the aircraft with the harpy. Also, when you lock onto aircraft with the harpy, the shells behave like SAMs, and guide themselves.

You can tell Phly is having so much fun here :D

Day 61: Hey Phly! You should do a public lobby with Phriends and Phans where each team has one VTOL plane, and the rest of the planes are reserve tier I planes. The objective would be to land the VTOL plane in a cap zone (you would use a tank map with a plane spawn-point), and successfully run down the tickets of the other team. Each team's tier 1 planes need to protect the VTOL at any cost. There should probably be a 30 second delay phor the VTOLs to take off because SPEED, but, do what ya want. Hope it’s PHUN!

I gotta give huge props to Gaijin, they put so much time and effort into the April Fools events only for them to last a few days. Hell they made two events this time! I know some of the stuff may go to improving future content, but a lot of it just becomes a relic once the event is over. Really sad to see them go every time 😔

Idk if someone already figured this out and commented it, anyway you can with alt + lock onto a jet and then launch a missile and most of the time it hits critical or kills

Phly,, the active camo plates on the tanks double as armor, if you shoot the plate they’ll dissolve with the shell, also, a way to get a one shot kill is by aiming for turret ring, or just below the gun, it’s the only way I found to get a one hit kill, missies work as well, all tanks do have a limited ads that gets gotten rid of after the first emp. Your welcome phly and also anyone else, oh and one more think the DEF Objectives stand for defense and all zones under your control can prevent you from being fried

CV 90 or STRF 90 as it's knows in Sweden actually has small plates on the vehicle that can change temperature to match the enviorment so that the vehicle is much more difficult to see on thermal imaging cameras.

I feel this event is for testing: 1. Hardkill APS systems, such as Trophy, Afghanit, and Arena. 2. Smart artillery shells 3. UAVs such as MQ-9 Reapers or Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik-B (which looks ALOT like the drone in the event) and spot drones (the Hydra missile launcher can send those in th event to spot targets) 4. Vertical launch system (Maybe for modern ships in the future and systems such as the Russian TOR Missile system) 5. T-14 Armata in the future (due to the unmanned turret, crew capsule protecting the crew, powerful gun with crazy amounts of penetration) 6. PL-01 (due to the camouflage system, tho the PL-01 is only against thermals) 7. To test if War Thunder can be fun or not 8. Cruise Missiles

With the manticore and hydra missiles the only way to avoid the aps is to come from a high angle of attack or destroy all of the armor plats also the tanks are almost invincible from the front also the smasher missiles on the uav are op they are pretty much if you combined a 2 thousand pound bomb with a maverick that has the choice between manually controlling in flight or locking on at a distance with alt-x and letting it auto guide also the proximity fuse shells on the harpy are actually anti air missiles that you can shoot in swarms like shotguns of missiles and they are better than the normal anti air missiles

I hate this event It takes 15 hours of playing for just the ammorack and i cant play this much

The funny thing is those panels actually exist IRL but for IR. it blends with the background. IIRC it was a German company and was tested on several vehicles including the Polish PL-01 light tank. I doubt the above will be added though. The Active Protection System is definitely going to be a thing and is being tested here to see how to balance. The crew being entirely in the hull is nothing revolutionary since we already got some vehicles in game that is de facto kind of like that but it does sound like they might release the T14 and T15 Armata and the US unmanned turret prototypes. Gaijin also might be testing the idea of loitering missiles which is a very recent technology. Missiles can loiter and wait for target assignment. Pretty crazy stuff.

Yo Phly so thing with the AA tank its rounds actually follow where to aim them like laser guided missiles combine it with the Proximity rounds and you just slaughter all aircraft.

i set alt-x to num 1 on the right side it works wonders, launch missle like jav then as it comes down lock target, also in the hydra if you launch a missle and level its flight path lock a target then fire another missle the second missle will come out super fast and you can do trick shots with it

Day 77: Phly it’s time to bring out the family! Giving you some early practice. Tiger H1 (Dad), Tiger E (Mom(because let’s face it moms are superior)) and the Pz.Sfl.Ic (baby). It’s protect the baby time! Benny can role play as mom and Odd as the little one.

The UDES 33 accidentally also got that steerable missile, you could shoot it spawn to spawn and the missile had 1300mm of pen. You more or less destroyed the enemy team within minutes. Never seen Gaijin fix a bug that fast tho.

inb4 spike atgm, top down mode for tow and other ground based atgms that support that, maybe target lock while in flight like the newer atgms, aps like israel and the lynx apc, long range cruise missles like some of the us and russian fighters can carry.....fun fun fun also active armor, armor plates that explode before the enemy projectile hits currently we only have passive armor or reactive armor that explodes when hit to minimize damage

I got 11 kills in one game in the Minotaur and what I learned is that: Shot the Minotaurs in the side, the Harpys in the Turret, and the Hydra you can shot anywhere

Yo Phlee, my dad was actually working on the project for those transport dirigibles-at Lockheed Martin-spent a couple of years shepherding it around...unfortunately they’re not sure what’s gonna come of them at this point

Small guide to the planes The planes have thermals, but it doesnt matter cuz its arcade mode. All AGMs lock like mavericks. Smoke defeats them, but big missiles can be manually guided if needed Literally run at the sight of harpies. Fire your missiles and GTFO if small AGM: use 6-9 missiles per target. You need to burn through their APS. These can lock before launch If big smasher missile: one will do. These are big motha cruise missiles. They kill everything. Even if they get blown up by aps they still kill. These lock AFTER launch. Oh and use the big bois on Harpy tanks. Always fire from 8+ km away. And lock after launch. Make sure to fire, turn away, then go back to the missile view and lock it onto your target. Using the V key to switch views can bring you from Smasher Missile view to Regular View

Veicles rewiev imo : Minotaur : really fun and destructive , both with missle and cannons , and also can take out a lot missles that get trown in it's way , Easily the strongest veichle in the game Harpy: can take planes out with a flick of the wrist , situational Hydra : it fires the missles of the minotaur as it's main weapon , if rocket defence wasn't so common it could easily be the most powerful veichle in the game just for how safe it is to play Wyvern : i am a newby so idk how to play it , from what i saw it can deal a lot of damage , but it also suffers from being eaten alive with no recourse by the Harpy

The only thing I was doing to get kills from the front was shooting at their tracks, aiming towards the core. Racked up 14 in my first game. Was fun.

I think they’re testing a few things ,aps because most modern tanks have it ,new optics for modern vehicles and maybe the missile for the steet fighter chally 2 because it has a hellfire on top of it

The camouflage is based on the Swedish ADAPTIV system but it's not so much visual as it is to hide or change your thermal signature

Guys this is the only time you'll see Phly have less experience than you do in something in War Thunder so epic

They are testing, APS, radar stealth and radar scouting, laser-guided ammo, Bvr-missiles(Fire first lock on after), UAV scouting, Advance ATGMs, and also Lock-on rockets, I also think that they are testing new armors or formulas !!!

I think those maps have SpaceX/Tesla influences, those pipes going around are the Hyperloop and those rockets do look look like the Starship rockets, you can see the 3 engines below.

Attempt 15: Warfare 2077 is a sweet look into the future, so a look back at the past is in order. May I suggest the Type 74G as a predecessor from almost 100 years before?

Alt-X is a tracking system lock for the missiles once you launch. It makes them way more accurate
