A short commentated gameplay comparison video between War Thunder Air Simulator and DCS or Digital Combat Simulator using the exact same plane with almost exactly the same loadout and similar air-to-air mission profile, jet used for the comparison is the German MiG-29G which is not a high-fidelity plane on DCS

Most warthunder players hate realism, they prefer small maps and furballs not realism

wt= arcade and will nerf shit because of brain dead player base dcs= trainer/sim and will get it as real as it gets and every update only get better while wt get worse and worse

Yeah their priorities definitely differ c= where WT prioritizes competitive balance more than realism while DCS has realism as top priority x3

@@LucaTheGuide The R-27 and it varaiations are no longer capable of reaquiring a lost radar target even if the plane re locks it and the missile is still running. Also DCS in general is very oriented towards the NATO players, not because of easy access to documents, but because its their main customer base.

@@_ochilov_4190 ^this. Non-NATO planes are not competitive so players end flying the exact same two aircraft. It makes the games dull. The sd10, r27, and aim54 have all been nerfed regardless of public information on the missiles. As a result, DCS is niether balanced nor realistic.
