Sometimes I think you confuse good planes with freaking awesome skills

Ah the E-3, love that plane. This is the plane where I learn most of the basic energy fighting skills. It has good enough turn rate for me, who is used to turn fighting, to transition to energy fighting. Was a bit sad when my Japanese Bf109 E3 was changed to E7, but the difference wasn't that big.

If one knows how to use them the E series 109’s are possibly the deadliest variant relative to their battle ratings. Great stuff as always boss!

I remember this one time I was playing RB, and ended up on a team full of BF109 E3's (including me) the only non-109 planes were bombers, all our fighters were 109 E3's, and we kept joking about how we were gonna rule the skies, we had great coordination too, flying together, discussing who kills what, only peeling off if we were gonna take someone out. (We knew we could solo most planes) Unfortunately I was the first to go down, I went to take out a Blenheim then 3 separate streams of tracer rounds suddenly started shooting me all at the same time, (I was only expecting one at most) ended up shooting out my water, oil and punching holes all over my plane, but my engine was still going, so I was able to get to the airfield, but I think my brain told me my engine was dead, and didn't think to dive down a bit to make landing easier (I was at 4-5 thousand meters) and just flew at that altitude as if my engine was dead and I was just gliding. Only dived when I was too close to the airfield, and wasn't able to slow down enough to land, tried touching down at 400+ km/h, and tore off my gear, tried landing without it (which I've done before) and was able to do it, but I wasn't able to slow down enough and ended up sliding off the airfield, had to leave that game sadly. Just a funny story I thought I should share, I myself couldn't stop laughing when I looked back and noticed that literally all our fighters on the runway were 109's, of the same model no less, and not an assortment of E4's E3's, F1's and B1's

I forgot how bloody fun this thing was. Amazing roll and turn, excellent engine, you do not have much ammo for your canons but once a plane is in your crosshair you are screwed.

i just got this plane i was already really good in the bf109-e1 but i cant wait to try this

Ah I rediscovered this today with a new to game friend, had soo much fun energy AND turnfighting people! Cuz yeah, this does turn really well with the god level flaps it has

Nose cannon often rattled the whole plane, interfering with the cowl guns and mechanical propeller pitch control. E-4s had a cone over the nose to show that the nose cannon was inoperable.

Now in 2022 the Bf 109 E-3 and E-1 are on the same battle rating, and I find that unbalanced as they have barely any differences on flight performance. The E-1 doesn’t have cannons and makes it more difficult to score kills

Love this plane! A monster in its tier! If the German tree had to be reduced to single plane , I would pick the BF-109E3!

It's amazing honestly just took it out for my first realistic battle in it in probably 4-5 years and got 4 kills i usually get 1 or 2 before dying haha really impressed with it

i loved this video 4 years ago and i love it still now. i flown the E3 recently and im going through the same thing you did. Bad fps, below 20 and nothing above 30 and i just dont like the E3 because of the MGFF canons. i like the MG151s but hopefully when i get a pc when i fly this again itll open my eyes about this plane and the E4

This plane compete with Spitfire mk Vb/trop very easily

At first I got it because it was up the tier and I didn’t test it out. I remember I joined an arcade battle. I found a PBY plane and tried to shoot it down. The cannons started firing and shredded that plane. It is still one of my fav planes

To be honest all 109s are gems.

My problem with the plane is that there's the f1 with same performance as f4 while having center mounted minegeshoss

This thing is totally slaughter plane in low BR battle. Well last year this E-3 became uncontrollable over 700km/h. But now after FM update. This thing can fly like crazy over 750km/h without any obstacle. Just like Bf109E-4....

To be fair the E3 has definitely got better since it was like years ago. They were a huge disappointment for me when I first reached them in the German tree until you got about two or so under your belt. You did alright in THAT video, didn't you? Slick shooting pardner!!

Good plane, but it has a problem. And that is 109 f1. Lower br, better plane. But it's a very good to.

If you use M.E.C. for any of the bf 109 you can get the engine to not overheat. It is not that complicated.

For some reason, i do waaay better in the E-4 than in this one. Anytime i get triggered by being bad at tanks, i just hop in a game with the E-4 and get like 4kills in every game. Anyways, nice video!

from E-series i like japanese premium bf-109 i feel like it have best climb rate and feel lighter or it's in my head only and the flight model is the same

I am still having trouble getting the cannons to perform so I prefer the E-1 myself.

It's just the difference between this and the E4 is the guns, as you say. For me the E4 and the E7 are much more effective with the guns.

Never really liked the cannons all that much on this bird, I preferred the E4 for cannons, but performance and overall flight characteristics? This bird was unmatched when I spaded it

Interesting video. The lack of control stiffening isn’t very realistic but otherwise looks great. How does it compare to Spitfire MK1? Have you ever reviewed that mk?

I know I asked this before, but your Zoom Focus view is much better than mine is that the in game view or replay view, or is it just your great computer? I zoom in game for sure but never get that clear of a Zoom or even that close. I know my system needs some updated components, saving for them now, but mostly in War Thunder I am visually having a hard time and NEVER get Zoom effects as you do in this video. Please advise.

The BF 109 F4 for some reason the guns takes a lot to kill I was on target constantly took a good amount of my ammo just to kill them maybe the BF 109 f 4 cannons aren't that great

Jengar can you confirm that japanese type 99 mk1 and 2 working shells are the AP-I dominated and/or AP dominated belt? i tried a few match and the AP-I and AP dominated belt works more efficient than the Pure HEF-T/ Universal HEF belt

hi how can i set 50fps ? I have problem with aim of this plane becouse it has very low ammo and wit 19 20 fps its really difficult
