Because of this video, I have "Subscribed"! Nice work on the video. You did a fine job editing out the bits that are a waste of time to watch like, for example, watching the T-45 sit on the taxiway for 15 minutes waiting to take off or other planes taxiing around the airport for 20 minutes. Thank you!

@@fredrickdouglassmccoy2608 No, that's a privately owned Marchetti S-211. It looks pretty similar to a Navy T-45 Goshawk trainer, so they painted it up like one. You can actually buy a ride in it: s-211training.com/

That Mozzie was restored at my home field, Ardmore in New Zealand. The 3rd one completed in 10 years. Got to formation fly with her. Awesome..!

A S you've out done your self, you're a videographer with top skills. If I didn't know any better I'd swear you were an ex-recon guy. You captured one of the most beautiful planes from WW II the Mosquito in all it's glory. Kudos and awesome!

I know some of the tv and audio people who set up for this show. They are professionals. Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, California and North Carolina has the best Television broadcasting and audio people in the country.

That P-51 with the blue nose and tail reminds me of a documentary on PBS years ago referring to the Blue-Nosed Bastards of Bodney.

That De Havilland Mosquito came from an airport in New Zealand called Ardmore Aiport and I live very close to Ardmore.

Oh! Wow! The 1966 North American F-51D Mustang "La Pistolera" owned by the Lewis Air Legends was at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019. I must have missed it because I sure would of liked a photograph of this particular North American F-51D Mustang. I took static photos of all the P-51's on Tuesday and then all of the Mustangs that participated in the airshow on Thursday. Does anyone know what day this particular North American F-51D Mustang arrived at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 event? Did this one partake in the Thursday mass P-51 Mustang airshow segment?

The only aircraft better than a Merlin engined Spitfire - A Mosquito with two Merlins. Could take a 4000 pounder all the way to Berlin, flying higher and faster than the fighters.

Mr.AlwaysBlue, the cruising speed of a fully loaded (19,000 lb.) Mosquito is 268 mph (top speed of 300 mph) which would be required to fly all the way to Berlin and return. The Merlin-powered P-51D Mustang cruised at 275 mph (12,300 lbs.fully loaded with 2-110 gal drop tanks) and regularly flew to Berlin and back and it had a top speed of 437 mph.

@@PenzancePete I wasn't aware it could carry a load like that. Popular literature states 1000 lb. If that were true the 8th Air Force should have used Mustangs instead of B-17s, which due to the heavy defensive armament, typically only carried 4000 lb while risking the lives of 10 men.

Right about the 6:20 mark (+/-10sec), the following comment is heard "I want one!", in reference to what appears to be a US Navy T-45 Goshawk. This may be a privately owned T-45 as the tailhook appears to have been removed (or I am blind, which is just as likely). Anyway, I mentioned the comment heard on the video because I had thought to myself "I want one of those" just before the comment is heard.

Huge expenditures inn WWII and a bad decision to merge with Studebaker, another WW II Military producer, Wright R1830'sand the Studebaker6X6 military truck, Army Weasels And neither received any worthwhile post war military contracts !!!! sad as both were top notch companies !!!

@@Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8 Without Rolls Royce there would, of course, have been no Packard Merlin and the Mustang would have remained the 'also ran' that it was with the Allison engine. Anyway, to suggest that Packard's were better is, of course, entirely subjective but one can't expect objectivity in YT comments.

I went to OSH for the first time this year. I was really hoping to see a great variety of war birds but it was pretty sparse. Youve seen one P-51 you have seen them all. The F-82 was exotic but there was not much else. A P-40, a couple of Corsairs, F6F and a Bearcat along with a Sea Fury. no P-38, P-39, P-47, P-63, F4F, F7F and so on. Really sad. Reno had a huge showing apparently at the 2018 Races.

Every year is different. I was impressed by the number of privately owned jet warbirds. Two MiG-17's, two TA-4 Skyhawks and an A-4C, a F-5A, a FJ Fury, some T-33s, some S211's, an L-29, a half dozen L-39's, two T-2 Buckeye's, and probably other stuff. Not a lot of warbirds flying in the airshow though... a shame.
