I picked up a warbonnet and superfly tarp a while back......in love with them. I live in a city, but love to hang in the backyard and take a nap....now everyone wants one......even the german shepherd...she loves to camp.

Thanks for the video, Shug. I have some ripstop nylon and poles left over from a failed ultralight cot project. I am currently suffering from a herniated disc and hope that a bridge hammock will be a better choice for my future. So I am studying up for a new DIY. BTW, my favorite moment of the video was when you were juggling the poles and they were making a nice musical tone.

I ran a course the other week and slept out in my hammock and was the envy of all. Best night sleep ever had.

Just ordered the Ridge Runner, Cloudburst tarp, Lynx full length under quilt, and Mamba top quilt from Warbonnet. Also the Osprey Xeinth 88 backpack from Back Country. Thanks for your videos. I hope to get as much enjoyment out of backpacking as you do. I have been practicing with heavier gear, time to go lightweight.

Shug, your the best.... I am just about ready the give up on the hammock camping. I can't live with the sleeping bag sliding all over the place when sleeping. I have been using the Lawson Blue Ridge Hammock. Which has great room but everything slides around. Just went out camping with the Lawson Blue Ridge and almost rotated me out of it. I do fight ninjas in my sleep...

My current effort is like your frankin quilt. My own creation. The one featured in the video is my second attempt. For anyone reading these comments that is thinking about a DIY Hammock. Think again. I have more money tied up in my hammock hanging project than it would have cost me to go out and buy one designed by a true hammock enthusiast. I just wished I had started watching your show 20 years ago. Oh wait ...!

Hmm...mighty fine hammock it seems like this would be quite the cozy hang. You should help your friend warbonnet improve his product selection - something like the netting option should be split out and +50$, right now the options are rather confusing.

"Me personally, I never get too cold under my knees" lol bc i cant sleep with truly frozen toes. So the dutch clip is like a carabiner specific to hammock camping... thank you!

I recently went on two overnight backpacking trips in the high Uinta's and had two very uncomfortable nights. Good pad and all. And being in a tent is a pain in the ass at 42 :/ I look forward to getting that thing in the spring. boo yeah!
