My build order. 4 peons on gold, one constructs a burrow, create a peon that is sent to harvest lumber then begin training another, once burrow is completed you make an altar, once new peon is produced they're sent to the gold mine, then when new peon comes out you send them for lumber. When the altar is complete you build a barracks and once you have enough gold to spare a warmill with one of the lumber gathering peons. My typical strat for one on one games is to go for taurens, shamans, and wyverns. For heroes I usually use the Chieftain but sometimes Farseer.

I "like headhunters" and always have though I couldnt defend my decision in using them because even with 2nd tier upgrades - of course regeneration, ....but they still seem to be cannon fodder in anything but a small creep battle. What gives? (answer "you suck", yes, har har. Maybe but damn if im using Grunts for my start. Also - what do you think about sticking with ONE HERO if you find you control him much better and can (in my case orc, using blade by default these days, and good at leveling the hell out of my blade. good at harrasing with my blade , and like having a whole unit of riders (upgrades for headhunters benifitiing them as well of course) - i think my problem is LACK OF USE OF SPIRIT LODEGE IN GENERAL PROPERLY - including any units produced there. I've tried sham/kodo without lot of success, I need , is suppose , to take a class in Spirit Lodge. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks for all your work and keep it up! Hackers out there please just play fair what is the point , its not the konami code - i would think you would get less satifaction knowing you essentially are nerfing your opponent(s)

Headhunters need to be untouched, so you need a lot of them & to be able to put distance between them & their enemies which is difficult for the early game. One hero isn't great with Orc, except for Tauren Chieftain only & fast tech tier 3 for the 30% bonus exp. Otherwise Shadow Hunter is just too damn good to not have as a 2nd hero, he is insane. BM/SH/3 Grunt/3 Raider/3 Spirit Walker/1 Kodo will always be a staple for Orc (especially in 1v1).. then get some Berserkers later if vs Undead

+Fede Vieira The Orc build order is the most standard of all the races, they do pretty much the same thing everygame. BM/SH Grunts/Raider/SW/Kodos~

+Fede Vieira Just don't forget that against NE who goes druid of talons build, almost all the time, it is better to get Tauren Chieftain over SH for the level 2+ shockwave~ But ya, orcs are probably the easiest to learn after undead due to its very simple strat. You can just perfect 1 strat for orcs and become a professional level in wc3~

50+ food typically, you need like 8+ units that benefit from the upgrade to make it worthy, or if you are going to sit on 50 food for a long time then the upgrade is fine too

Not really, the TC works lovely with them. The Far Seer is doable, he is juts sub-par compared to other heroes in MOST situations.

Some Orc players have swapped to Far Seer/Shadow Hunter or Tauren Chieftain Grunts/Shaman pressure (Shamans for purge/dispell) Those that still want the Spirit Walkers have to dish out the extra cash for Tauren Totem instead of the Spirit Lodge though.

On twisted meadows at the goblin merchant, when the forrest troll trapper drops an item, it's impossible to pick it up because the orge stands in the way. Any tricks how to get it without having to kill the orge? it's so annoying to creep with the BM when you don't get the item you want.

+laaarsn Make sure when initiating the attack on the Trapper you don't move so the Ogre stays in his spot. If he does get too close, try to pull him back, this is tough since you are taking damage so worst case just kill the trapper and run back a short distance then windwalk through the ogre to pick up the item before he returns.

Hi there, thanks for the videos. I'm trying to come back to old games such as war3 and wartft, but when I check other players strateggies to learn from them, I always see them build a "Voodoo Lounge" on orcs, that building doesn't exist on my version of the game (RoC 1.21a), can you help?

alexilaiho1st it's from the expansion "The Frozen Throne". You can't build it in the original version of Warcraft 3 without the expansion~

If you have only 1 Hero (no 2nd Hero or 2nd Hero training in Altar) You get Tier 2 = 15% extra experience on your hero Tier 3 = 30% extra experience on your hero

I suck in big army battles... Is a heavy melee or a bunch of range units be best in big army clashes

Ranged units are stronger in most huge battles because only some melee units can only hit units that are close of them while range dont so they have an easier time taking down units by focusing them. It's the other way around in small battles because melee units are stronger individually. :)

Anton PREVED In case you mean to set the WC3 res to widescreen, just go to settings at the main menu. And then set the resolution as high as you can go.

Hold Left+Shift whilst issueing orders (This queues order commands for the unit so they do it that order). For example, Select Peon Build Burrow Hold Left+Shift then right click on Trees This will make the Peon build a burrow & then start chopping wood immediately after the burrow has finished, saving you the pain of having to issue this order to him later on when he stands afk after building the burrow.

wtiiwarcraft I think hes referring to the little green squares on the minimap. Those are rally points so your scout Peon doesn't walk into a group of creeps. left shift + right click on the area on your minimap.

Think it would be better if you recorded while playing instead off a replay. You don't mention a few important steps like when to upgrade to stronghold, when to build war mill and additional burrows.

+GoZuHaZa The first map is called Twisted Meadows. By far the most used map in any high level wc3 tourney. It is to wc3 like de_dust2 is to counter-strike. :-P The 2nd map is called Market Square. You will not find any of these maps in the original ROC version. They are in the frozen throne map. :-)

i hope it will help me. I played the Story mode but im still a complete dumb ass and dont understand what to do. And yes Story mode is not the same as the normal game i get it :D

It depends on the situation. Let's say you are in a 1v1 situation, then Headhunters/Raiders with Heroes that can focus the Chims (perhaps with an Orb) In 4v4 RT you are more likely to get away with Wyverns/Bats

the shop timing was a mistake. you make it to come out when your hero spawns or after u tec. making it while you have your hero running about is quite worthless.

If you watch the full video, specifically the In-Depth guide for the standard build order you will of already realised that I stated that you can differ & get Shop first if you CHOOSE too. However since you clearly did not then I will have to manually tell you just how wrong you are. Did you see just how far my hero had to run back to get to the shop? About 7 seconds... a lot of orc players will also build their shop towards the middle of the map or at least somewhere outside their base to allow quicker access to it, this is doable, it is considered safest to have it inside the base & since I can't make 20 versions of the same build order essentially I feel this was the best portrayal. Also check out many of the Orc vs replays out there & you will clearly see almost all Orc players get Barracks before shop unless they intend some Far Seer or aggressive hero playstyle, which this build order does not advocate, which you would be able to clearly see if you watched the video. Thank you.

***** you forget that you also delayed that peon. your tec is so very delayed with this. if u do it my way, you get your tec about 10 sec after hero and start your shop about 13 sec after that. the loss would only be 5 sec. also u can then build it when your scout peon making it much more convenient for harassment.

from other replays of pros really is one of the best ways to learn, they have found the best methods & practice them over and over so they are pretty reliable to follow

Kai Smart haha man i was jk around, i love pit lords. BUT - you CAN get a pit lord from the tavern - a building on some select maps that allow you to pick from a lot of different heroes - for example pandaren brewmaster, dark ranger, PIT LORD, and a lot of others. and you should definitely get frozen throne :D
