Garona does not know her true heritage in Warcraft 1. It took at least after the Burning Crusade where Garona find out her true heritage.

In the warcraft east panel, the director and Kazinsky said Clancy actually enjoying his role as blackhand due to the fact he made some few hilarious moment that actually took the Director 4 hours to fix.

Chauncer It was no retcon it was a reveal (her real heritage was). The dude is getting her mixed up with her son.

Matthew North The whole storyline with Med'an was effectively a retcon, judging by how it changed the relationships of characters we'd known for years at that point. It wasn't a reveal, because there was never anything pointing to it before, until they wrote themselves into a corner and deus ex machinad something into the character history's, something that never fit there to start with. Med'an, and everything that connects that character to the canon lore, was lazy and bad writing.

Rageaholic No she found out abruptly as you will find out in the movie. It all became clear but she never molded well with either plus Gul'dan was controlling her or a long time to bot. Her conception when she thought to be Half Human Half Orc was due to how she looked back then. You will find out the channel of which how the Orcs and Humans contacted one another before the first war (was just the one :) ). Funnily enough she got even more haunted when she found out of her true heritage plus her lovers actual story resulting in her son being well parented by others. She is an amazing character who i hope gets some focus in WoW going forward since she is still alive but hidden.

Matthew North I dont think it will happen in the movie. The draenei were not relevant till later in lore. And I believe it was her uncle (maraad) who told her.

malonze10 I know it wont but they could easily mention the devastation of what brought the clans together in passing for example without even mentioning the Draenei :). That would just be the nod that they never forgot about them.
