It’s a weird move though because it’s an easy parry for some and completely unreactable for others. So if they change it too much it’ll become even more useless than it already is against really good players

I think a good way to do it is make it so the side storm rushes aren't undodgable, but the top one is undodgable OR just has really good tracking

@@DreyfusLagoonthe move is very strong even against those who have good enough reaction to parry it. Since it starts from front dodge, you need to guess whether it is storm rush or kick, and on top of it, it is also feintable. There is a good reason the majority of playerbase consider it absolutely cancerous

@@resspawn26 I mean, there’s a reason why all the top level people think orochi is a bad duelist. Some of them can react to the kick, I will say though, the dev team can’t balance the game around those top 1% players because it will ruin the game for everyone else. But at least at my skill level, if I anticipate the storm rush instead of the kick I can parry it semi consistently, and I can block it pretty much 100 percent of the time if I don’t dodge thinking a kick is coming. I think this is how the move should function so maybe if they just made it the speed of a normal light attack it would help everyone out. They can’t make it too slow though because then it would be easier to tell the animation difference between the kick and the storm rush. In a duel setting I don’t think the kick storm rush mixup is a super big issue though, there are characters with much crazier and higher damage mixups that can go infinitely just like orochi.

My lore explanation/headcanon is that when the knights were exploring the old cathedral after hearing there would be a battle there soon, they found some hidden scrolls from the Warden Order that explains more ways they could use the sword and better forms. Hence forth now Warden has uninterruptible on some moves and new moves using longsword techniques

Finally orochi has a reason to use lights and not the zone all the time Storm rush change is not reasonable, but not crushing The animations for Warden are pretty good, still requires shoulder bash 24/7 but at least it looks better Genderswap skins now are a thing finally, which also opens the possibility for a female lawbringer Vikings look awful as usual, but knights got some of the best armors ever now

If they were willing to adjust the animation for SB and turn it into a poke or even a pommel bash, and then adjust the follow-ups in whatever way they need to in order to make it fluid then that would be great. I think it just irks a lot of people (me included) that he opts to SB despite carrying a two handed sword. Following a light or something I would understand, but to charge and throw your shoulder towards an armed enemy instead of a big-ass sword seems a bit silly. He could have used a side-dodge light that chains into the same animations as the bash follow-ups as long as the second hit was on the same side, but without the ability to chain into a bash from the first hit.

i love the animations for warden and i also like that they didnt change the way he plays. im just wanting to ask one thing because it said that chaining gives followups hyperarmor: Does this also count for tier 1 bash when its chained from a light? Big thing for me is highlander. backstep light gone i love it as well as feint to offensive. Also the decreased recovery after changing into os for dodging is really good. wavedashing needs to return though as its difficult enough as it is now to stay in os. And im always not very fond of nerfing his damage. yes with feintable kick its neccesary but id rather have them balance him around increasing his damage again and taking away his backstep light while giving him a new way to enter offensive instead of overloading him with pressure tools. His offensive form was fine he just needed more ways to enter it. Also not a fan of 400ms on offensive lights because it encourages spamming instead of thinking (and i dont like that they went this direction since ccu when they made hl much faster but nerfed his damage by 30%). Except for the highest skilllevel i think the os light change is not good but at the highest lvl it definitely will help as its improving his most important pressure tool (although it might get replaced by kick now that its feintable) Nerfing his defensive stance also feels unneccesary (except top hvy as obviously gb punish is good although i would have preferred a custom gb punish like shugokis). highlanders damage on wallsplat is still not the worst but there are characters that do more on wallsplat who arguably shouldnt in comparison to a big ass claymore. overall i think i like it as they addressed the biggest problems (backstep light, os accesibility and normal gb punish) but there will be certain things i will miss that just made highlander into highlander. Now his offense works, he can punish properly and he can access his stances easier and recover quicker. He was legit a one trick pony. If you think he's a one trick pony in live, then you clearly haven't played him much and what you think he does or doesn't need doesn't hold much merit

The pk skin is honestly dissapointing to me, I was thinking that since warden was getting a second skin that meant the extra knight skin release would be an original skin and for pk nonetheless. But it's sadly just an Assassins creed plug instead of a cool unique skin for pk. It bums me out. They should've labeled it as a collaboration skin instead of just a "knight skin"

The damage nerfs on Zerk suck. They should give him his 200ms dodge recoveries on whiff back. They should remove dodge recoveries on all dodge attacks.

nawwwww bruhhh, y they gotta remove wave dash on Hl. You’d think not having a guard would be vulnerable enough. A better fix would be to keep wave dashing, and make the recovery on the back dodge the same as any other direction in O stance. Everything else is cool, no openers type shit basically, at least let us keep the one thing that differed bad HL to good HL mains.

Wave dashing is gone because it was a exploit. A bug shouldn’t separate good players from bad, neither should abusing a exploit net a huge punish. His offense is more than strong enough now to make up for it.

The bash is kind of his identity. It would be like Shaman getting more tools that don't apply bleed. It just wouldn't feel right.

@@spub1031 Not unless they adjusted the animations so that it wasn't a shoulder bash, maybe make it a poke with his sword on a forward dodge, a pommel bash with a side dodges, and following a light attack he does his SB but with a slight tripping animation slotted in? They could even change the animation of him charging it up, so he doesn't telegraph his intent to bash but it looks like he's about to strike? It utilizes his longsword more, could be adjusted to fit fluidly with the new follow-up animations, and doesn't necessarily change his play style. I doubt they would, they've just added these changes and are unlikely to ever do anything significant again, but one can dream ☺

@@spub1031 I think a better example would be comparing Warden's shoulder to Cent's punch, with the option to hold, throw fast, or gb out of it. My issue is that unlike Cent that is where his shoulder ends. I'd like to see more options either before alternative to the shoulder as opposed to coming out of it.

But i find it to be problematic, since in many gank situations where you want to feint an unblockable, you also want to get into said unblockable without feeding revenge. And having light tracking always be the forward one, would make this tech redundant. Or am i missing something?

I am disappointed that Ezio is the hero skin. He does not tie in with the theme of For Honor at all and is extremely out of place compared to the rest of the character skins. His character customization shown is pretty ass as well. The only redeeming qualities is the jump attack as well the hips that don't lie.
