this music stirs something deep inside something primal, something raw, its mystical yet familiar to me. A desire to find my roots or the stirring of what once was. Great song, great album hope to hear more in the future

idk why, but when I hear this song, I can't help but think of someone racing across the desert at breakneck speed on a motorcycle, while the sun is just peeking over the horizon. This would be FANTASTIC movie music.
@debaronAZK5 жыл бұрын
for me, I keep picturing someone desperately sprinting through a forest while being chased by other people. in any case, this music seems to inspire a feeling of speed and traversing terrain for some reason...

I saw them live in London last week. Even though Gaahl is not part of the live shows anymore, which is very unfortunate, Einar and Lindy Fay kept carrying these vibes and delivering the full WARDRUNA experience. :)

i dream of a society where shamanistic culture, mysticism but also a certain kind of rationality, technology and science in favor of human subsistence and understanding a the main goals to be achieved and obtained. Some may say those things are uncombable, but i think they interdependent. Each of these ideas is doomed to be corrupted on its own.

@@memomoheidecker rationality and science is the exact opposite of religion.. they will never go hand in hand
@thomaspechey45845 жыл бұрын
@@stefanos_g_ss5434 Lots of pagan rituals are not in opposite to rationality, and are more focused on community cohesion and preserving culture. For example in a shamanistic culture in South America the shaman's wife had a duty to feed grain to the spirits before eating. In fact the spirits were ants who would take away the grain and as such wouldn't infest the food storages of the tribe. The norwegian word for bean and prayer are cognates, because offering a bean to the earth is a prayer - a sacrifice for the future, in hopes that it will grow and you shall be rewarded. Pagan spirituality and modern science can coexist, unlike traditional abrahamic religions which demand we forsake science and our culture :)

I think it can be done. Modern civilization is killing itself, and I envision a kind of post-civ world where we return to and recognize the wisdom of our ancestors and of indigenous peoples in worshipping and valuing nature and the essence of life above all else, and still bring the advancements we have made in science and the lessons we have learned. However, it is kind of like threading the needle, we can't be too unbalanced on either side. Who really knows what will happen in the future.

I saw some cameras, but I didn't expect the production to be this great. The atmosphere in the theatre is well captured on film and the editing fits with the real situation. Well Done!!!

@csno1 as in the native music from wherever you come from, alot of culture's are being absolved into the modern world and we are losing their knowledge and musical talents, while not 100% traditional Wardruna use traditional instruments with a modern twist and the atmosphere they create is refreshing, Reminding me of a simpler life and a world which has passed many of us by without even the slightest thought.

I know this is literally a decade too late, and they weren’t even around when you posted this, but heilung is a good option! They’re more ritualistic, and they use Mongolian throat singing, so they’re different in atmosphere, but they use Norse scripts and runestones for their music lyrics, plus all their instruments are handmade and traditional! Just a suggestion if this account is even still active after such a period of time! If it is I hope u enjoy them! 😊
