This is some of the coolest music I've heard in a while. I'm glad I'm going down this road.

So glad you went down this road :) Lyfjaberg (w the subtitles), Solringen is also great, as another person mentioned here. Also, from his solo work, Kvervandi live. Anything live, actually, either solo or w Wardruna. He's also done great work as a guest on Faun's song Odin. Also also, since you keep mentioning Vikings - he actually made music for the tv show The Vikings. You can find an excellent medley of it he performed on the Krakow Film Music Festival, the title is Viking suite, by Einar Selvik and Trevor Morris.

If you want to do another Wardruna song another popular one from them is ‘Lyfjaberg’, or perhaps the live video of ‘Solringen (First Flight of the White Raven)’, a live performance without audience and does show them playing their instruments.

Solringen is great, but Lyfjaberg is just otherworldly. Deffo my suggestion (as I said on the Helvegen reaction). Also, I reaaaally love Kvervandi, from his solo work, especially the live acoustic version.

I think you looked up animalism, and your definition was correct. However, Einar Selvik, the singer here, practices animism, not animalism. Animism is an ancient belief system where the natural and spiritual worlds are intertwined and coexistent. A rough description would be the worship of nature and the beings that live in it. Looking to nature for spiritual enlightenment.

Well Wardruna is awesome as Einer Selvik is. Three great collaborations: "Odin" by Faun feat. Einer Selvik; "Viking suit" Trebor Morris with Einer Selvik; Ibor Bjorson and Einer Selvik "Kvervandi".
