I used to work at the first Nike ware house in Beaverton OR. I used to ship the US teams jerseys, Tigers actual Golf clubs you name it. I was woking in the shipping and recving dept for all the pros signed to Nike about 15 yrs ago. I was young and it was one of my first jobs. By coincidence, years later I moved to Tempe AZ and my first job here was with DHL cust service. I have NEVER once stole anything or thought of taking from the company that I worked for. I felt lucky to have worked for the company and in the dept that I was in. It used to kill me that I could not tell my friends who's gear I held that day cause of a disclosure as an employee. And that was only cause I felt so cool at the time. Lol. I was lame. But, anyway, I have never thought of stealing. Since then, I have investigated credit fraud, been a manager, and worked various roles at major banks and retailers with some major celeb/high end client accounts. Never stole. You will get caught. Especially now ! It just is not worth it. I love being free and I may not have much, but I have enough that I do not want to lose.

Jaye nice to hear your story, it is nice to walk around the city with your head high and not to worry when the cops show up your doorsteps. For young person temptation is always there, when I started my first job was working in a glass place, I found 10$ in a corner of the shop. Ran like a devil to the office and told the manager what I have found , I spoke a few words of English but my action kept me there for more than 8 months. You get awards for honesty not dishonesty. All the very best to you. Cheers

These places perform background checks in hopes they are getting honest and decent employees but every criminal had a first offense. As someone in a position to hire new employees, sometimes your better off giving someone a chance who may have had legal trouble and learned a lesson!!
