But it doesn't mean you have to use the Cinta.

The Cinta outperforms the Nataruk always. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't use the Nataruk. It also doesn't mean you have to swap to Cinta. Today's video will show that sometimes the best gear isn't always your best option. Your enjoyment always comes first, and not always on what is best. There is also a difference between what you like, and what is useful. Luckily, both Cinta and Nataruk are useful.
Cinta has a bigger hitbox, higher damage, and also has multiplicative GunCO. Nataruk has smaller hitbox, lower damage and also multi GunCO. Where they are different though lies not just in performance, but also their QOL. Cinta's perfect shot window lasts only 20% of the ring, and ends early before the full charge shot. Nataruk's perfect shot window lasts 30% of the ring and runs all the way until just before the full charge shot. It is far easier to time a Nataruk perfect shot. Not only this, but Nataruk's perfect shot also sounds a lot better, with a grittier drawstring, and satisfying crunch on the bolt fired. Cinta in comparison, sounds like a slingshot, and the resulting bolt fired sounds like a spitball gun.
The lack of satisfying user experience, combined with less quality of life, make the Cinta less appealing to use than the Nataruk, despite the Cinta being a better weapon. Even the seemingly infinite ammo on Nataruk does not matter, because the Cinta has way more than enough and kills better, meaning it would not run out of ammo regardless. In the bow world, Cinta is superior to, but less QoL than Nataruk at the top. Paris and Dread Incarnons both sit below Cinta and Nataruk. Bramma is in its own category, whereas Prisma Lenz is below all the bows I mentioned. A bow that really does need help though, is Rakta Cernos.

My genuine favourite part about the Cinta is how I flashbang myself with every perfect shot. Picking off some Corpus from the other side of an ice field, mistiming a shot and blinding myself for a bit because my room is dark is truly a worthwhile experience.

Also note: The Cinta also has a secondary fire mode. It's basically what the bow enemies in Duviri do where they jump backwards and shoot those explosive shots. It's useless due to it not scaling with mods. I personally use it for parkour to get me that little bit further.

I really don't know what is, but the perfect shot window feels so wildly different from Nataruk's, as in it is much more inconsistent. I tried alot of fire rate setups, but it seems the skill ceiling for perfectly handling this bow is quite high. The most success so far, was with a maxed vile acceleration + 60% firerate from my riven, preparing Longbow sharpshoot not with a perfect shot, but with a charged shot, basically rotating charged and perfect to play around longbow sharpshoot when clearing packs.

@@eronic_ Yea, I really tried that with so many different mod levels. with 150% fire rate I have a really short tap, which is the most consistent for me. Just r5 vile acc is so janky, I could swear the perfect shot doesn't go off, although I hit the spot. For reference, with the nataruk on ANY fire rate, I very very rarely miss the perfect shot. The timings on the mechanic really feels different on the Cinta.

@@excaligaming2435 a fully maxed out charge on Nataruk (not in the perfect charge window), will still throw out the radial attack arrow. So it's even more forgiving than a Cinta

if you have maxed longbow sharpshot, you could consider dropping bane on non-dot build for serration. It should be a small net damage gain and some comfy-ness on not swapping bane around, and net damage gain on enemies that have no bane against them (narmer and acolyte)

Unless you have another source of base dmg serration should be a bigger multiplier(2.65) than bane(1.55 raw or 2.4 dot), no? Edit: Nvm, bane(dot) + SP arcane = 11.04 is slightly better than serration + longbow = 10.6

If you're using acolyte arcane and Hunter Munition bleed build, no, because they increase another 360% base damage additive to serration, so you end up with 6.25 multiplier and Bane double dip. With Bane + Primary Merciless, you get 7.13 multiplier, and for DoT 11.05~. But this is only apply to enemies that have bane to work with. if it's non-bane enemies you only get 4.6 multiplier. for Serration + Longbow Sharpshot, you get 10.6 on everything, with the additional comfy-ness in stacking the buff (You just need to do 1 headshot to proc it, no need in any kill) and it works on non-bane enemies, which are mostly something you want it dead ASAP. Edit : Just notice that it's not slightly drop in damage but slightly increase....so gonna edit to first post. Edit 2 : wrong number on serration build..

Is longbow sharpshot a unique multiplicative damage multiplier, or is it addititive with any other increases? From the sound of it, Gun CO + Longbow Sharpshot = ~10.4x damage. Or am I missing something?

There it is, finally. Rightly said - it feels soooo much better and less punishing to use the Nataruk than the Cinta as far as the perfect shot mechanic is concerned - not sure why DE made it go only from 75-90% on the Cinta. Good you managed to specify R4 Vile for comfort (remember I'd asked and we confirmed on stream about it)

@@Heavocnope - at just 60%, Cinta feels soooooooooooo slow to nail the perfect shot. At 90% too fast to nail the perfect shot .. 75% IS the right mid-point. Remember, the perfect shot slot is much reduced on the Cinta - very small window. Outside it, the damage is ... not as good.

I hope they do something cooler with the alt fire. Like the mines dropped are little vauban tethers or something would be dope. As it is, it does pitiful damage compared to shots lol

I remember it dealt 20 damage fully modded against Chargers haha. Actually killed one lvl 195 in Simulacrum by using Ivara Navigator bug where it keeps firing until you stop Navigator.

Only thing I dislike about the Cinta is because of a UI bug when charging. There are so many times where I fire and perfect shot reticle is smack dab in the middle and it doesn't perfect shot. So instead I usually undercharge, and it will perfect shot sometimes even when I am not within the perfect shot gauge.

The only thing that keeps me from using Cinta is Wisp players. Nataruk's perfect and full shot are not that far away from each other damage wise, but Cinta's perfect shot is wildly different from full, and all you need is a Wisp player to ruin your primary. As far as I know we can't opt out of Wisp motes, which makes it even worse.

Cinta and Nataruk both are allergic to additional fire rate buffs coz it'll mess up your timing of perfect shots string. I have experimented a lot as well and found that Nataruk is more forgiving on the perfect shot alone and easier to figure out the sweet spot fire rate, Cinta is a bit harder to fine tune. Vile acceleration also is where i ended up, though I am still bouncing between r4 and r5 Vile acceleration due to my innate skill issue lol. Though, for Longbow Sharpshot, I assume its always the case for any bows if there isn't any base dmg scaling mods in your build? I heard it was like the best Arcane for bows at this point, but I never fully understood why aside from the fact that it is apparently a multiplicative bonus.

For most of the old school bows, they have additive GunCO scaling, whereas the new bows mostly have multiplicative GunCO scaling. This is important, because for longbow sharp shot to work well, you need base damage somewhere on your loadout. For old bows, this is easy, since you’d always slot either GunCO or Serration depending on how bugged the GunCO scaling is, despite it being additive. On the new bows, you frequently don’t have space to slot serration alongside GunCO, since GunCO is multiplicative on them and doesn’t give base damage. So either your base damage needs to come from your weapon arcane, which prevents you from running longbow sharp shot, or you skip GunCO for Serration and run longbow, or you source base damage from warframe arcanes (arcane rage, primary charger, arcane arachne), or you bring a frame that has base damage buffs (Revenant 1 augment, chroma, octavia). This actually makes rivens for the new bows very interesting, since rolls like Tox + (FR or Cold if Viral HM, or Elec if raw Corr) with a free negative will free up a slot to run Serration alongside GunCO, while still retaining a good enough fire rate bonus, and letting you run longbow

On console with fire rate borderline unplayable, the chargebar doesn't even synch to the correct timing when chaining shots. No perfect shots coming out regularily even when the chargebar showed literal perfect placing in the middle of the perfect window, or the other way around perfect shots happening when the bar showed you overdrawing.

I just tested it and the cinta perfect shot absolutely does not headshot. This is assuming this is not a big related to missions specifically (I tested in the simulacrum). Obviously the full charge does because it’s not AOE.

You have to aim above their heads. Imagine trying to headshot with Plasmor. Aiming at the head will make the shot hit the body first. The perfect shot also is not an aoe. It’s just a fat projectile.

@@cornhole8839 nah weapon just feels like shit to use. Most of the time, atleast for what i play the larger projectile doesnt make a difference, and the nataruk just alwyas works, even when overcharged it still does respectable damage and has a large projectile.

It’s actually a pretty decent Eidolons bow. But I would never recommend doing that on purpose except for fun, shits and giggles. Hunting with bows is not that good QoL-wise in Eidolons.

You seriously downplay orange and red crits especially when there is so many ways to get crit chance. This is a huge positive for nataruk

What matters is the number on the screen, not the colour of the crits. If anything, a Cinta going from yellow to orange crits is a bigger dps increase than Nataruk going from orange to red crits, or red to red2. Numbers matter more than the color.

Many people mirror that just reaching 100%cc is all you need and it puzzles me as some weapons can reach orange and red crits quite easily. Not saying you are wrong, just down playing crits above 100%. Many meta players and KZfaqrs do mirror the same idea as you.

@@jordanmcminn998 this is fundamentally due to weapons not benefitting from CD fully until they hit at least 100%cc. The difference between not critting and critting is huge. The different between yellow crits and orange crits isn’t even a 2x total damage increase. Going from orange to red isn’t even a 1.5x total damage increase. Whereas going from white to yellow is very often a 4.4 - 6.6x total damage increase. It’s the standard concept of diminishing returns. Once you have too much crit chance, you get more damage by investing into more crit damage, or more status, or more elementals, or multishot or fire rate, etc. It’s the same reason why you don’t use Serration with the old school 3 weapon arcanes unless you’re using an AoE weapon…because Serration stacked with weapon arcanes makes Serration incredibly weak as a damage contributor. The reference point is I’m already using optimal Nataruk builds for comparison in the video showcases. The Cinta was doing more damage on a yellow crit than the Nataruk was doing with mixed oranges and reds, every single time.

@@Aznvasions I always assumed a weapon with 100%cc and 4x cd= 400% dmg and 200%cc and 4x cd would be 800%. Is this wrong? I understand diminished returns but is damage from crits and diminished returns applied directly to that calculation? When you say it isn't even 2x from yellow to orange do you mean 2x the cd amount or overall damage? As always appreciate your replies.

Its sad that DE makes weapons like these.. If it wasnt so annoying to get this thing, every pleb would be runnin around with it cuz A: Teh new hawtness, B: truck size arrows, C: Muh incarn heurrrr. I hate the warframe community some times :D Thank you for the entertaining videos though!
