I like how his rework makes him feel more like a ravenous monstrosity than he did when he could hold 40 guys in his stomach. Being able to only hold 5 enemies in your stomach and needing them and their health to fuel your other abilities means you're constantly eating and constantly on the move looking for more dudes to eat. And when you're full you just roll over everyone in your way until you're hungry again, which won't be long.

I agree so much. Before he’d starve for energy. Now I’m eating over and over, I can’t keep his belly full for long as I play murder meatball through enemy ranks. It’s like he’s gonna starve if he doesn’t get his hundredth enemy eaten before long compared to eat 20 enemies and belch them because energy ran out and so did his appetite, leaving them all intact.

Actually enjoying Grendel just a tiny bit more than Voruna if I'm honest. Don't get me wrong, Woof-Girl is cool and all, but bringing the pain on the meatball train is more fun than should be legally allowed. I sat here giggling to myself while rag-dolling Grineer all over the map yesterday. And I too invested some Umbra forma to ChonkyBoi. I'll probably rethink that logic about the time Grendel Prime comes out, but right now I have no regrets at all. Let's ROLL! ⚽

I am so glad Grendel got some love and this rework still stays in theme, and uses all the parts of his kit but just enhanced them and made them function more efficiently. Now all I have to do is pray that Hydroid is on the list for reworks because my tentacle monster pirate needs some love.

As much as I miss being able to just eat an entire defense wave at once, the new rework is overall a massive improvement. I do hope they add an augment that adds more eating capacity, even if it adds the energy drain back.

Been using him to farm Voruna, and in several hours I only got taken out by acolytes twice. Sometimes Feast can be a bit finnicky and it just flat out won't eat the guy in front of me despite modding for a lot of range, but the energy is such a non issue thanks to his 2 that I can generally spam abilities despite having Blind Rage inserted.

I noticed the not eating too, especially with: Eximus, people affected by ancient healers and shield drones. Maybe it has something to do with the overhealth or whatever it's called.

Feast won’t eat enemies as outlined by the top reply, and also won’t affect overgaurd enemies.

No, I know I have to pop overshield and that's also what the ancients are giving allies. I actually think shield drones don't protect their allies at all from Feast as I swear I've eaten whole squads and their drone. We're talking the odd crewman or bombard, just messing about on their own, refusing to get ate despite nothing protecting them and Grendel having space in his belly. It's a non-issue, but it's still a minor frustration and I don't know if it's a skill thing and I'm missing something. It's especially prevalent at when I'm even a little higher or lower than the enemy, so maybe it's extremely strict line of sight screw ups? But we're talking looking down a flight of steps at guys and not being able to eat them.

Its really hard to understate just how good this rework was. Namely his 2, I think once people start getting bored of playing him in pure mage mode and start playing with weapons again they're going to really notice the free viral procs the game now gives him and... honestly he may be due for a nerf after that. Outside of that, its nice that his kit is now pretty self contained. The only time it feels "bad" playing him is on bosses with absolutely no adds.... but hes still so naturally tanky AND can still recover with meatball mode its hardly an issue unless you're strapped for dmg. But that was already the case and I was already bringing him to harder fights where you couldn't afford to die because even before rework he was just a brick house. Long live meatball armada

I kinda enjoyed playing him even on release just for the general tankiness and toxin damage buff, even if it wasn't that effective. I'm happy to hear he is more than just a novelty Warframe now though.

I used to use a combo of gourmand and gloom (replacing his 2) to constantly ping pong my health like Krieg from Borderlands 2. I'd run out of health from the 40 people inside reaching the 2hp health gate, I'd explode them out and most would die causing gloom to immediately refill my health to max. He was incredible for mass CC in things like defense and mobile defense. I was built for all health and no armor using rage to keep up energy. But being able to cast in ball form now is big. Catapult needs to be looked at. Reminds me of Valkyrs Ripline.

Honestly I have found myself using him now, and damm he is fast as a meatball, he's a speedy boi, me and a few friends went to do mot steel path and we all picked Grendel, and it felts like we were playing Pinball Warframe edition or 10 pin bowling Warframe edition

This build is awesome 😎 what's the best primary weapon for Grendel? After something hard hitting to pop out of 3 and smash acolytes . Already got heavy attack build wolf sledge for melee but want a good pairing. If not hard hitting maybe even more status like cedo? What do you think Mr potato?

I run it pretty similar, but since even with armor strip at 100% on the ball, it still doesent do the damage to make me want to go 200% power strength even for the armor strip. Especially since the ball movement is so nice you can tap them twice to full strip( or jump on them strips 100% most of the time for me, even with 144% pwr str). I replaced vitality and flow for fleeting expertise and hunters adrenaline...just cause I've gotten in those weird situations where the eximus with energy leech hits at just the wrong time and I couldent use ball for heals... I seem to get into weird bad situations alot in warframe lol

I hope they rework gauss, when he was released he actually felt like a speed frame but currently my volt, Titania and Excalibur (using slash dash) are all faster than gauss and I basically only use him for his 4

I dont think gauss needs a rework gis abilities are all great except mach rush it feels awful that all frames are just getting faster than gauss mach rush need something like with mach rush the longer you use this ability every second your speed increases by 1.5x that way he will be the fastest but not feel uncontrollable

I love Grendel's rework. For me it's easier to manage belly contents, and as I dislike tapping to cycle effects on an ability the combination of Nourish's effects is ace. Bowling and bounding about in Pulverize is much more satisfying. And now I feel much better about feeding him 2 umbral forma! I have even found myself storming along Orb Vallis' roads in "Meatball" mode, remember to use Sprint button in Pulverize!

Someone in Region chat said "after careful testing, I can confirm Grendel is weaker" like what fkin test did you do? Grendel is a damn unit. I can go into Steel Path Circius and absolutely face tank everything (only issue is a heavy attack from the thrax ATM). De did Grendel really good, but they kinda fell flat with Yareli.

Vitality and fiber are a absolute waste of mod slots. He doesn't need it. In ball form he constantly regenerates health. You can stand infront of a evel 250 eximus unit shooting at you and his health regens faster than the bullets hit. If you die with grendels base health you are just a bad player and need to practice general game mechanics. Try Yareli's blades on his 4 and go into ballform. Have fun ;)

pulverize and regurg. need more damage, if I can do 30 K dmg with one nataruk arrow then 2000 dmg + some dot from regurg. aint gonna cut it. but also for pulverize allow it to be modded and turned into a melee - similar to hildryns weapon
