Presumably we will see the planet types represented in the Core book of the FFG RT game this is based on.

Forge worlds would be a good place to explore the Adeptus Mechanicus and its relationship with the Imperium (as well as the horrors that faction brings) so I imagine we'll see something of that sort.

I played the Alpha. You have a forge world in your domain as a rogue trader. I won't get into specifics but there is some stuff happening there and you have to sort it out. You have a lot of options in how you sort this out and one of your companions has a personal mission there. Its all really good.

Considering it’s based on the tabletop RT game there’s most likely going to be a mechanicus character you can get in your party but I don’t think it’ll be the main character/leader of the party

Plenty of Tomb Worlds are largely dormant with only a, uh, skeleton crew of automated defenses and basic, non-sapient guardians ready to be deployed on short notice (prematurely waking necrons can destroy their minds). These worlds are absolutely loaded with priceless technology and other loot.

If the tomb world is still asleep, then they can pull it off. And also... By the nature of the game being made by Owlcat we probably will end up as Heroes so strong that Cato Sicarius himself would be jealous.

They aren't a faction involved in the overall plot, presumably. We already know there are necron enemies though and there are almost certainly orks as well given their ubiquity.

@@shiroka1371 many dark eldar are just pirates. In fact, Dark Eldar are player character options in the FFG RT game this is based on while craftworld Eldar are not character options. Everyone forgets that the Faction doesn't represent every single member of the race. Many dark eldar are just pirates and might get along well with an RT crew.

But it looks like we have a normal Eldar party member, which is much stranger coming from nearly a decade of Rogue Trader, so there probably won't be one. But your rational is forgetting how many are *just* pirates operating extremely similarly to your average RT crew. The FFG books they are basing all of this on are worth looking into.

It's still possible as DLC. The pen-and-paper roleplay game of Rogue Trader did release supplements for playing as T'au characters. The books also explains how T'au ended up in the Koronus Expanse, on the other side of the galaxy from where the T'au Empire is located.

DarkTide was shit because they opened the box of shitty exploitative profiteering techniques like microtransactions, which ruins any game's primary objective and purpose.
