The way the necrons see humanity is intresting, in that they are reviled by the biology of humanity and seem to know the survival of the galaxy depends on humanity. They are playing a long game indeed.

The necrons are like white people and the imperial guard are kinda like black people. That's what i like about them, they have a great dynamic. Whenever one is disturbed may God have mercy on the other.

“They are the raising storm, and you must become the shield.” Did the Silent King intent for The devastation of Baal? Cause if all these stories (The “SHIELD” of Ball series) were leading to that, could’ve Szarekh orchestrated this alliances because he foresaw it would lead to the destruction of a large hive fleet? Because the praetorian said they weren’t telling the whole truth, and seeing how they left the Blood Angels on their own to fight the Tyranids it could’ve been a test to see how well they can fight them. So Szarekh probably either knew through his Chronomancers that the Tyranids would attack Baal by through certain events they would lead that to happening; so the Tyranid fleet there would be destroyed along with the majority of the Blood Angels and their successor chapters. So Szarekh is fulfilling his goals by exterminating a Tyranid fleet, without getting his hands dirty. Similar to how the Necrons deceive and use the Blood Angels to fight mostly on their own in this story.

I always wondered how the silent king will converse with the traitor legions or their gods. Will the chaos gods recognize the silent king as slayer of gods the c'tan? How would a c'tan reacts if they see a chaos god? Man I have so much questions in my mind rn.

In my opinion? I doubt he would even consider conversing with them. If he is aware of what the Chaos Gods are, then he would probably view them with even more hatred and disgust than the C’tan. The Chaos Gods are soul-eaters and slave-masters to every living thing in the galaxy, and the traitor legions are puppets and playthings to them. To one of the few beings still in existence who remembers the War in Heaven, the parallels between the Chaos Gods and the C’tan would be to blatant to ignore. The Silent King might view the traitor legions with a kind of pity, seeing in them a reflection of what the Necron-Tyr had become when they sold themselves to the C’tan…but I doubt that would blind him to the threat they pose to all reality.

I wonder... Did the Silent king actually "warned" Dante about the upcoming awakening of the Necron Lords? Did he told him to keep ready to shield humanity from their future assault? Why otherways would he have spoken to Dante directly without being heard by his own subjects? 🤔

Last time this kind of tactics worked on a Silent King would be more than 60 millions years ago... Also, Xareck learns from his mistakes, and even from other people's mistakes. To kill him, you'll have to be creative and do something that has never been done before in history. Or come with overwhelming firepower if that can be done.

I really hate it in stories when characters/groups who were 100% intending to betray someone then gets angry that the other group/individual was also planning to betray them. They're basically saying "How DARE they betray our trust?! The trust which we pretended to place in them so that they'd trust us and never see it coming when we threw their offer of alliance back in their face and exterminated them! Who'd do something like that?!", well uh, you, you petty child. When you're both planning to betray each other, the reaction from both sides should be "lol, fairplay XD".
