the core rules designers commentary states that a Fight action immediately ends when one of the operatives is incapacitated, so the leader should not have been able to resolve any close combat hits in turn 2.

Absolutely correct, but that commentary came out too late to save the poor Drukhari from a terrible fate.

Still learning the game here - wasn't the GK leader's charge/fight in turn 2 okay because he used Only in Death Does Duty End? Or are you only allowed to shoot with an operative when you use that ploy?

@@charlesdbelt Per the FAQ, effectively melee isn't allowed to be used because melee ends when one combatant reaches 0 wounds. In this example he was at 0 wounds at the start of the fight, so combat wouldn't have taken place. It's technically allowed to initiate the fight, but there's no reason to do it. It sounds like that FAQ came out after this was recorded.

Under the new faq, you essentially cannot fight a combat after using the model not removed ploys. This is not technically rules as written but is a reasonable simplification.

Was looking forward to this and checked your channel for weeks! Not my favourite factions (Imperial Scions!) but your reports for me are far the best with camera and the length of everything and the way you explain it fast and funny.

You can still get cover from Heavy terrain, so when a Kabalite with a Conceal order moves up at 12:00, he could easily, get right up to the wall and still be untargetable

Hey Ash, They have what Rob and Ransack does printed in full in the rulebook so you could always get a blank white label on the card to fix it. The first line about killing someone in melee on their own is correct. Then the next two lines are 'You get a vp' and 'If the operative isn't incapaciated at end of game you get a VP' IIRC.

Deathbloom and agonite on splinter cannon both have a plus symbol. There’s a line of rule at the top saying one operative cannot take more than one equipment with plus symbol. I did it once and then a mate reminded me mid-game to check because relentless plus rending is so good on a heavy weapon. Overall great battle rep. And please upload more.

A few mistakes at min 21. 1. As already mentioned in other comments, that GK couldn't fight with 0 wounds (it was faqed). 2. The power sword of the Hekatrix crits with a 5+, so you could have blocked the GK crit with your own and didn't need to reroll (and the reroll scored a crit too! XD). That poor Hekatrix could have survived.

Great battle rep! At 27 min mark you could have parried his only attack then killed him ;). I know the gray knight was excited but 3 dmg saved is 3 dmg earned :)

Wouldn't really have changed anything since you could've just moved closer with the justicar and kill the drukhari leader with shooting for the tac op, but it's been FAQed that models that remain on the board with only in death does duty end can't resolve hits in melee combat. Check out the designer commentary.

I’m hoping to learn some counter tech to Grey knights. My buddy loves them and converted a beautiful kill team. I know only having 5 models helps but boy do those 5 do work!! I play veteran guard.

Bat reps I saw are just overwhelm them with shooting etc. This Bat rep has almost 0 shooting in to the GK, You take one of their models down and its a 20% HIT

Man, KT21 Eldar have 8 Wounds and a 4+ Save. Veteran Imperial Guardsmen have 7 Wounds and a 5+ Save. If the Drukhari are Kif Kroker, what does that make the Death Korps of Krieg -- the tofu-fed lion?

It does shows that skill matter in that game. Drukhari requires finesse and his friend is not really good at all

This probably was recorded prior, but as of the last FAQ, they clarified that moving across barricades reduces a model's Movement, not travel distance. The distinction is that Dash does not use Movement, you can travel the full 3" while hopping across barricades.

This is not true. The question was not involving traversing terrain, it was about does the movement characteristic reduction from things like being injured reduce your dash distance. The wording for traverse does not mention modifying the movement characteristic it specifically says paying a cost of white Circle.

With rending, do you turn a hit into a crit as long as you get at least 1 crit, or is it that; after all dice are subtracted, if a at least 1 crit remains, 1 hit (if any remaining) turns into a crit?

If after re rolls you retain a crit, you turn another hit into a crit. THEN the target makes defence saves to cancel those dice.

@@jeancouscous I played a competitive game this weekend, Drukhari vs Grey Knights, I tabled them by the start of Turn 3, scoring max points. Drukhari best Grey Knights 9/10 times, they have so many AP2 weapons that are just a nightmare for marines to deal with.
