+Daniel Ibbertson Hey man, first time stumbling on one of your videos. Just wanna have a constructive criticism. You have a good voice but sometimes I feel like you extend the syllables to much in trying to over-pronounce them or just don't put the emphasis on the right ones. Basically, you should work on your flow and don't drag-out words too much when it's unwarranted. Or maybe it's the style of presentation you're tryng to achieve and only need more tempo variety? I dunno man, something definitely felt weird and dishonest about it. I felt it was mostly apparent in the intro but it does happen throughout the vid. Good editing though! You seem like a good chap.

Not related to video, but any chance you'd do a look on a Graveyard Keeper? The devs selling a half-finished Alpha as a full game is only missing the Actuall Kickstarter (they had you buy if on another site instead, so no STEAM refunds, wonder why).

I very strongly doubt that Gold will be the last one. Master Mantis’ A-Rank character card even hints at a Switch game being in the works, or at least planned.

I've been there since the beginning too. When the first Wario Ware game came out I was 12 years old. Therefore, one of my favourite moments when playing Wario Ware Gold was that one phone number and calling it revealed the story of a young developer who used to play the first game as a kid and was now making the newest Wario Ware title. Lovely.

I feel like it's becoming increasingly rare to find another Wario fan. He's easily my favorite character from the Mario universe and I too am obsessed with Smooth Moves. Literally one of like 3 games ill pull my Wii out and play every few months. Doing a bit of a Slope binge today, so im glad I came across this video

I'm fairly sure, that eventually down the line Switch will get it's own WarioWare game someday. Most likely scenario is when the Switch's lifecycle is nearly at it's end.

WarioWare Gold is fun, but I do have to agree, I liked the older art style more. Not just the characters. I feel like a lot of the "cleaned up" or enhanced graphics have lost some of the charm of the originals. Its look is little too homogenized now, and I miss the messy/sketchbook look of a lot of the older graphics - particularly on the GBA and DS titles. It's certainly not a dealbreaker, but I do think they maybe went a bit too far in their cleanup.

Eh, I thought the same towards Touched and Smooth moves. New devs after Twisted so whatever charm the original and Twisted had, had to be redone in anothers manner. I still find Touched and Smooth moves the lack luster ones.

Wario himself looks a whole lot meaner. And while we're at it, I'm not a fan of Wario's voice acting. I know it's Charles Martinet, but it sounds like he didn't bother putting in any effort, everything Wario says sounds stilted and forced.

I know these games did get so popular that at some point Newgrounds made an event where plenty of flash artists programmed their own little short games, and they were compiled together into this one project. I felt like that was nuts.

While I did own a GBA when it came out I hadn't yet taken a personal interest in WarioWare. If Twisted actually came out here I'd have heard about it and likely purchased it. Believe it or not, back then gamers often had to search extensively to find out about games that weren't being advertised. We weren't getting dozens of adverts flashed before our eyes a day on KZfaq (and the main video resource was GameTrailers which frankly wasn't great), nor were there any Let's Players who do the advertising task for the publishers. Plus, even if I had heard of it I don't believe I had a bank account by then, so I couldn't have imported it. I also never saw pirate copies of it since it was one of those few GBA games that couldn't be pirated.

DIY was a really good title. The microgames you could download made by people and special guests(game developers) around the world were really astounding! Their quality and their handmade graphics rivaled those of nintendo's.

My favourite's probably the Gamecube one, for the multiplayer. I hope they release something similar for Switch. Game & Wario has some great ideas, but some of the games are a bit bare-bones.

I picked up the first WarioWare for my birthday in 2003. I never saw a commercial or print ad for it, but that box art was more than enough to convince me this was a game worth playing. I've dutifully plugged away at every handheld edition since (no offense to the console entries, but to me, they're just cheap ports of all the good stuff on handhelds). I can't believe it's been 15 years, it still seems so fresh!

There's a trilogy of pre-Warioware Sega games for arcade, Megadrive/Genesis, Game Gear and Saturn that seem to have been an influence on Warioware too - Puzzle & Action Tant-R, Puzzle & Action: Ichidant-R and Puzzle & Action: Treasure Hunt.

Just want to add the Game and Wario has a LOT of weird microgames and curious toys hidden behind the "Chick-N-Win" capsule collection minigame. In my house, we're still finding stuff years after getting the game. And yes, Islands is the funnest local multiplayer since Super Monkey Ball. The whole package is hugely underrated, in my opinion.

WarioWare is probably my favorite game series that for some reason I don't actually own ANY of the games. I couldn't tell you why. I've played most of them. I've loved most of them...I've just never picked any of them up for myself. Smooth Moves is the one I keep telling myself to get, and I'll probably order Gold if only to support the series. Awesome video, dude. I love that anytime you do Nintendo series you do them on the most interesting ones.

I enjoy playing the Wario Ware series, especially Mega Party Games and DIY since those were the only ones I owned at the time. I wanted to get Touched and Twisted as a kid, but forgot about their existence. I hate that I missed out on Smooth Moves and Game & Wario. I am enjoying Wario Ware Gold on 3DS and occasionally play DIY for the music maker since I ran out of ideas for microgames.

Used to be obsessed with Wario Ware! I played the GBA one but Touched was the first one I owned. Smooth Moves was my first Wii game. One of those games that was so weird you just had to keep playing xD

I first found out about WarioWare from that SSB Brawl stage of all places, then soon after found Touched! at a local game store and went on to try to collect the entire series. Definitely one of Nintendo's best IPs for sure!

Honestly, Daniel, I floated between Nintendo and Sega. I grew up on both so I can't say that I was a Nintendo or a Sega kid. Since we're both the same age (35; I'll level up to 35 in September), so we had great games of our childhood.

I vividly remember playing that giant ass gameboy version till it couldn't function anymore. I never even realized there were more games but I do remember being genuinely hooked on the weirdness, I'd love to see a collection on Switch. Actually....yeah, that could work, especially if they could figure out how to make multiplayer for the micro-games work.

I remember the game where you have to make sure the finger gets inserted into the nose, properly. You only have .02 of a sec to do it.

I think Nintendo started to mismanage the series once the DSi downloadable ones started coming out, but I also feel like the series couldn't have maintained the same level of creativity forever without rehashing itself, so it's probably best off ended.

30:25 More likely, because of the positive response of Rhythm Heaven Megamix, they developers decided to give Wario Ware the same treatment since the same team is involved with both series. Since Yoshio Sakamoto has said that more Rhythm Heaven games could happen, I see no reason why no more Wario Ware games could happen.

Should have pointed out some of the earlier attempts to rip off the series like feel the magic (which actually beat touched to the shelves) and Work Time Fun for the psp, still remember going into Electronics Boutique and Touched coming out and feel the magic's price going down to a third of its initial price.

Anyone remember the PSP Warioware clone WTF Work Time Fun? I got a PSP instead of a DS and had to pick it up because I never got the first Warioware eern though I did have a SP, but still wanted it. I am glad I went with the PSP over DS at the time, but I still missed out on some good games. Anyway, tangent aside, WTF was an interesting take on the microgames formula and I was addicted to it for a while. Definitely recommend that for any PSP owners.

I would have loved to see you mention the ten Bishi Bashi games and Ganbare Neo Poke Kun which came before. WarioWare was just not as innovative as people think...
