Very nice figs mate. Will look good when they’re done. One tip I picked up on here you might try is to use a black undercoat and then very light dry brushing all over with an off-white to bring out the details again. Much easier on the eye than trying to find details in a see of black. I’ve used it a few times and it works well for me.

Your welcome, Have Romans to paint in time. Will

Great video, Justin my brother! The Roman figures look great! A little tip I use when I have terrible seeing details with black primer, is that I drybrush white over the surface before painting. It pops the details out and it also gives kind of a natural undercoat highlight. ^_^ Take care my friend! ~ Wolfbrother Methos

Nice figures! I second what Mary Hinge said. Give 'em a light dry brushing to bring out the details, using black primer. It works great. :-)

I don't care what anybody tells you! Your basic rattle can $1/pound/whatever enamel white matte will get the job done. Some people say ohh it's easier to paint this color. Bull! Artists canvas comes in what standard color? White! I rest me case :)
