After doing Deux-rivieres, we knew that the Ontario side didnmt get anywhere near the amount of rain that the Quebec side and the Zecs did. With the Penniseault being too high to run with just Lev, Trypp, Brent, and I, we decided to rally over to the Schyan as the flows around the watershed were quite promising.
When Trypp and I scouted the mouth of the river, what we saw was a LOT of water escaping into the Ottawa river with 2-3ft waves. We happily hiked up 3km to the put in to do, what I think is safe to say, will be the sickest run of the Schyan I ever did in a very long time.
We treated that day as a warmup in order to get our heads back in the game for what came next. Stay tuned!
