Today we tested the waters for some Summer fish.. Although it's still very early we got some success!
..this fish is way underrated.. and i love catching them.

We are in Pretoria and fish for Carp over the weekends. But we do go to the Plett area in December. Just love fishing from the surf.

Sjoe Kerels dit was nou n behoorlike kookwater sessie. Julle mag maar. Ek dink ou Corrie gaan Soos ou Pieter Grobler altyd gese het Se: "ek soek gif want ek kon saam gegaan het" Corrie ons mis jou en Kerels. Julle moet darem vir ou Corrie n paar in die dam los. Ek geniet julle uitstappies terdee. Gooi mielies en Gaan groot. Geseend is julle.

Skeptic about casting among those rocks, how do you get around them ? When I see those, tendency is to skip but I see you do well regularly, I must be doing something wrong as I lose gear.

40lb JDB Ultra Tough braid i must say is the big game changer. Then i put a 6m long 100lb braid leader, and you should know exactly where you are casting..go on low tide and go checkout the spots and see where it's 'open'

Use the fg knot, the 40lb sinks in the 100lb braid and you dont even feel that going through your guides.Goodluck, thats the way to go !
