I know, right? If these things are true, serious "demonologists" should document their investigations in a serious manner and make it accessible to the public in order to raise awareness. I'd like to believe that the Warrens have had their fair share of brushes with the occult but it's hard to find evidence that prove their claims. And what about this museum thing? I understand that they could've brought some of the alledgedly "possessed" objects and artifacts home to take them out of the circulation, but to turn it into a cheesy museum? For me it's yet another way to make easy money, and it tends to discredit the issue.

In the film it's shown many times they have footage of exorcisms, hauntings and possessions. And to be frank, if they are on the up and up with a career spanning over 40 years, they surely took a camera to one of these incidents and recorded some form of evidence, no? But the Warren;s website is just a promo site for books and films. Nothing indicates it's a real life scenario.

Lorraine Warren needs to make it accessible to the public someday, else how are we to believe they've really seen what they claim to have seen? The Conjuring is a good movie, but it's a movie nonetheless, and in movies, things are often exaggerated. I've been reading about the real story behind The Conjuring, about the farm house and about the Annabelle doll as well, but there are no pictures nor footage or recordings of it anywhere to be found. Am I to believe other people's words just because they say so? Upon research, it seems that some of the facts claimed in the book about the farm house have been distorted. For example, it's been suggested by Lorraine Warren that the "evil" entity could be the ghost of Bathsheba Sherman, but she didn't claim to have seen it like we see in the movie, it's just been suggested... This woman was a "witch" in people's minds at the time, but then again it was the early 1800s and these were just rumors. Nothing indicates that she had killed her children, there are no records available to prove it, etc. Regarding the Raggedy Ann "Annabelle" doll, I have yet to find any genuine interview or even picture of the people who claimed to have lived with it; there are no notes written on parchment by the doll to be found, and the only pictures we see of the doll itself are either in Lorraine Warren's arms, or in her case at the museum... You know. Not to say that the Warrens aren't who they claim they are, or that the farm house wasn't hauted, but it's hard to sort out the bullsh*t. It's as controversial as the Amityville story, which is also believed to be a hoax... I don't know. It would be really nice to be able to access the Warrens files and I don't understand why they would keep it away if they truly have it.

Haiti, Jamaica, Africa, Cuba Brazil and I've witnessed things you are too closed minded to even go out and investigate yourself. I watched a 14 year old boy in a state of possession pick up hot burning coals, put them in his mouth and blow fire out of his mouth like a dragon without experiencing a single burn of any kind. Not possible for a human. Maybe you should get out your house and actually investigate for yourself before you just rat off an opinion with nothing to back up your claims this doesn't exist. Too many cultures from antiquity to the present date have recorded spirit posessions. Now why would someone take the word of a few atheists when millions of people througout the course of history, including myself, have witnessed such phenomenons....

Well like I said I was 4 years old living in Mexico at the time, I had this stuffed clown toy which was probably six inches tall which i had receive for my birthday. Everything was fine until probably the third day of receiving it,It was late at night and I remember waking up to some noises and then I heard someone whispering my name, as I started looking around the room I saw something moving in the top of our wardrobe that was across the room and i saw the clown toy up there, I still remember that it was waving its hand and calling my name, I got scared and closed my eyes trying to make my self fall asleep again which eventually i did. The next morning I told my mom about it but she didn't believe me, she said that I probably had a bad dream, but after that night the same thing will happen over and over again that it got to the point of me asking my mom if i could sleep with her because I was scared of sleeping alone. So later on my mom starting getting curious and worried so she decided to hide the toy from me to see if I things would change, (now I don't really remember this part but this is what my mom tells me and others) so she says that we were sleeping and that i woke her up telling her that the toy was talking to me, she told me that she had thrown the toy away because it had gotten dirty and stained, I told her that it wasn't true, I told her that the toy was talking to me, telling me to take him out of the wardrobe. At that point my mom got scared because first of all i wasn't suppose to know that she hid the toy and second how did i know where the toy was? so she said nothing and told me to go back to sleep. The next day my mom decided to visit one of my uncles and tell him what was going on, when she told him about the situation he didn't believe her, he said that i was just a kid and that I was probably just imagining things and to prove her that he was right he decided to keep the toy for a while which my mom agreed. A week passed by and my uncle went to visit her, he had told her that the exact same things were happening to him, but only a lil bit worse. He told her that every night the radio or TV would turn on, every time that he would get up to turn it off he would see the toy next to the radio or Television with out him moving the toy. sometimes he would see doors opening and closing which would only occur during the day. So both my mom and uncle decided to tell the rest of my family members about what was going on and they all came to the decision of burning the toy, we did first try to talk to the church about it but in order to avoid more problems we decided to get rid of quickly. now to me this were it gets really creepy. When we were burning the the toy, it started to smell rotten almost like a dead dog and heavy dark smoke was coming out it, also (I honestly didn't see this) but one of my uncles and two of my cousins said that they saw like this demon face form in the smoke for about 3 seconds. I tell people this story and almost everyone doesn't believe, I actually thought that i was the only one that had gone trough something like this, after watching the conjuring I finally felt that i could relate to something with what I went trough (although I think the annabel occurrence is more frightening than mine) Sorry if i made it so long but I want to make it as detailed as possible but without making it long. I wish that Lorraine could read my story, I would like to know her opinion on what i went trought

***** Thank you for asking, well actually things did get weird and I might say bad around our houses in Mexico. After that things were normal for a week or two, but later on we would see weird things happening around us, doors opening/closing, lights of the rooms would turn and off and basically other electronics would turn on and off by itself. As time would pass things would get worse and worse, at night you could hear foot steps in the roof, you could see shadows during the day and you could feel the presence of someone being there with you but it was like a unpleasant feeling. This occurrences lasted for like a year but after that it stopped. My family tells me they still experience those things but is not as constant as it used to be. I guess you can say they've gotten used to it lol.

dannyhtx That's a scary experience, i personally have never encountered anything that can be labled paranormal or out of this world but i am very open and interested in these kind of things since some of my family members and friends have had strange experiences and occurences happen to them.

Maybe it was in your imagination. How old were you? A friend of mine had had a Furby which we used to play a lot. One night it started doing crazy stuff like: talking unstoppably and closing and opening its eyes! It scared the shit out of us and we never played with it again. Sorry for my bad english.
