My first diver flare put me in the er and hospital. It's important not to ignore pain and get a cbc or ct scan to ensure that you don't have a perforation, which I did. I eventually had surgery to remove 21 inches of colon. Popcorn caused my first flare!

My daughter was diagnosed with diverticulitis and was told that unless she was dieing that there was nothing they would do. She's a mom and working full-time so hard on her 😢

What?That's unheard of she could go septic if infection goes in her bloodstream I had it had a bad infections fever chills in an out of hospital for 5 months in pain finally had surgery 9 in of my colon was taking out ct scans is what shows what it is have your daughter go to another Dr 2nd opinion plus blood work if whiþe cell count is through the roof she has to be taken of
