📍WHERE Warragamba is in the Wollondilly Shire Council LGA, on the
eastern edge of the Blue Mountains. It's about one and a half hours drive west of Sydney.
👉🏾 COUNTRY: Waragamba is on Gundungurra land.
❓️WHY: To explore a village built for the sole purpose of housing workers on the construction of nearby Warragamba Dam in the 1950s. I also wanted to checkout Warragamba Dam Visitor Centre and explore around the dam itself.
🍂 SEASON: We visited in Autumn.
⌛️TIME: You can easily explore the village, the interesting visitor's centre and the dam in a morning. Stay for a picnic in Haviland Park.
