basically you've summed up whatever it is I might say right now I became a KC fan during the Schottenheimer years probably around 1989 1990, so I remember all the disappointing seasons the mediocre seasons the not so bad seasons, but also remember no Superbowls all those years so you're right it's good to see KC winning and winning with a bright future ahead! Marty's time wasn't that bad. Nowhere near as bad as Todd Haley. At least with Marty we were a hard hitting team with grit. Arrowhead was a place to be feared. TH was an embarrassment from the top down beginning to end. We were better when we basically didn't have a head coach.

We hit the lottery with the kid. He has changed our franchise and people thought we were insane for drafting him. All the things they said about Mahomes being a project, his bad footwork and so on. 4-5 years later, 2 rings, 2 MVPs, 2 SB MVPs all while he’s 27 years old. 3 Super Bowls in 4 years. 5 straight conference championships and 3 conference championship wins, plus 7 division titles. Overall he could have had 4 in 5 if Dee Ford hasn’t messed up. I’m still mad at that penalty he committed. He’s shattering the record books every single year. Mahomes is in a league of his own. These other quarterbacks are incredibly talented but playoff wise Mahomes is killing all of them.

Glad he's my QB in KC. The best thing about Mahomes is he's a really good dude, genuine, humble, good husband, dad...but the best thing about him on the field is he's just fun to watch. ALL the other QB's are just boring and dull to watch. Mahomes does the unpredictable and the funny thing is the scouts said that was his weakness. Every team regrets not drafting him.
