Hong’s a very fun character. I like how he really mixed humor into the show and his chemistry with Ah Sahm and Young Jun is great! They feel like real friends and I’d totally believe the trio are the same in real life. His fighting style is also a fun change of pace, using his skinny but fast body mixed with a weapon. He’s just a lot of fun. Sad my favorite character Bolo had to go but Hong fills the gap well.( he probably has better chemistry with the other two than Bolo, but I’ll never Admit it.) I do like how they have a lot of similarities and differences: Both wear mostly black with red mixed in, both have signature weapons, both were in a high spot in the Hop Wei and were top lieutenant/ enforcers, both have fun fight scenes . But Bolo was tall and muscular were Hong is thin and short, Bolo had short hair, Hong has Long(er) hair, Bolo was straight( or at least was on friendly terms with Ah Toy’s girls, as in episode 3 we can see him having a drink with them when Ah Sahm gets out of jail.) where Hong is gay. Bolo didn’t like Ah Sahm were Hong views him as one of his best friends.
