What happens when you give every person in a city their own keys to the rink? You get Hockeytown, USA. Turns out Warroad’s recipe for turning out great hockey players is hiding in plain sight: Come early. Stay late. Skate every day. In Warroad those are more than words, as kids grow up skating a lot and playing plenty of hockey. In fact, the system encourages from the River Path to a reverse pyramid, and skaters allowed to double up on practice time. This hockey season is extra special in Hockeytown, as Warroad hosts Hockey Day Minnesota, an event that will showcase one of the greatest rivalries in the state: Warroad Vs. Rosseau.
