The older and more complete name of the tār is čāhārtār or čārtār, meaning in Persian "four string", (čāhār frequently being shorted to čār). So Tar is Iranian and the Turks stole it from Iranian, because why not. You don't have a culture you might as well steal from those who have.

@@ethdow6817 prove me that, the information you gave is true. There was not any country called iran, this country was the part of Safavis which was Turkish country. Iran has been created after the end of safavis by the persiann that were living in a small part of safavis

Btw Iran wasn’t established by the Safavid dynasty but date back to Antiquity, at the time of the dynasties such as Achaemenids, Parthians and Sassanians for instance which first introduced the concept of Iran and Iranshahr, at a time when Turkic tribes and folks didn’t or barely even start to exist. There are two types of tars Azerbaijan's tar and iranian tar they are different and their voice is too and this is iranian tar
