This is where Geoff added and named his newest clone Daryl. Stole this from Kathy's costume list in the behind-the-scenes video. L to R. Jeff, Daryl, Geoff, Goff, and Jeoph. The new guy (Daryl) got the best hat and that nice brown leather duster.

This wasn't Daryl's first video. It was just the one where he was named. He was there in Blackbird and Ain't no Sunshine

the reason why low basses tend to have the biggest ranges: everyone can train their voice to go higher, which bass singers also can do. but you can't train your voice to go much lower, so someone with a naturally low bass voice has an advantage in that they can start out much lower than others, giving them access to notes that others don't have. there are of course some very rare individuals who have an insane range despite not being bass singers at all, they're often high tenors/sopranos with access to baritone/alto notes, with an abnormally high range.

This is the first time we were introduced to Daryl, in the long leather coat. The other three we were introduced to in his cover of Way Down with his clones sporting name tags of the different ways that people have either mispronounced or misspelled his name. But this one needed one more cow poke, and he just seemed like a Daryl to Geoff. Did you notice that when he said that the horses were “snorting fire,” they all grab their guns as if they were going to draw. The clean-shaven ghost is left-handed just to add a little variety to the clones! In one of Geoff’s tutorial/lessons/explanations, he stated that he has really tried to keep that upper range that he had pre-puberty . Apparently by exercising the vocal cords in all directions it makes it easier to continue expanding their range. And just because he’s not content to be anything other than extraordinary, he also designed the logo that shows in the beginning! The studio is PattyCake Productions which is owned by Layne and Tony Wakim, prior baritone. Tony took Layne’s slot when he switched from baritone to beatboxing back around 2009. Tony was with them through their appearances on the Sing Off and the two tours and bowed out around 2017. But PattyCake Productions had been established prior and they did a handful of original productions. Since then Tony has been doing it full-time, as they’ve started making themselves available to other people who want to use the studio and their services.

Contributing to Geoff's exceptional high range is that he's been working on it since before his voice dropped. As a kid he wanted to be a lead rock singer, and that meant tenor. He's said when his voice dropped, he struggled to keep the notes he'd need for that. Later, he wanted roles in theater and Disney, and once again, the good roles were all tenor. So he's been working that upper range forever. It reminds me of Dimash. While Dimash had formal voice training from 5 or 6 years old, as his voice dropped his teachers somehow managed to convince him that the soprano section needed his voice. Apparently he argued from time to time, but ultimately continued to work his upper range. He has a range over 6 octaves. He's still not as low as Geoff, but at 6'3" and about 30 yrs old, he may get there. Bass voices don't typically mature until their mid-late 30's, early 40's. And from what I read, both Geoff and Dimash are hard working perfectionists who've known they wanted a musical career since they were young.

I knew this song from the 60s when it was sung by Frankie Laine. Geoff makes it new, as he always does. The first thing I noticed was him saying Cowboy instead of Cowpoke, as it used to be. I guess not everyone today would know what it meant so he changed it. Oh that was a great interview he did with Peter Barber. But he's made videos on how to sing low, as well. He's a beast. In the nicest possible way. Hey, in Folsom Prison Blues. There are four Geoffs singing and three more in the video! I'm waiting for the day he becmes a full choir. Oh and Layne is still a full member of VoicePlay. He and Geoff are the two remaining founding members. The company Layne owns and runs with Tony Wakim i actually Pattycake Productions. They make incredible fun videos for family viewing. And yes Geoff does play with himself so well. Just be careful where you say that.. LOL You guys are fun.

Did you all notice the name at the bottom of the beginning of the song the name is written Geoff Castallucci ? He made that sign. Take notice to allthat you see at the beginning or at the end when the credits roll. If his name is on them he made them. He is quite the artist.

😂 y'all always keep me laughing. Geoff is the most creative person on the tube that I've seen so far. His fans had been wanting him to do this song for a while and he finally gave it to us. He added an extra "brother" and called him Daryl. 😂😂😂

This is a good old Western song by Johnny Cash. I could listen to Geoff any old time. The fifth clone is Daryl. Oh I love the Wellerman - I watched yours. The other owner of Pattycake is Tony Wakim, think of the Phantom of the Opera, Road Trip oh, and also the scout camping song - the full Chicken Song (both of those were live - get the 9 mil plus Road Trip.

Per Geoff, he wanted visual symmetry in this video as well as giving a nod to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Way back in his catalogue is "Blackbird" (the Beatles tune) where he did a visual clone to represent each layer of vocal. It is much more doable in his usual turnaround time for song/video production if he keeps the clones to three unless there's a specific need for the fourth (Daryl), as in this video and in "Way Down" by Elvis Presley. Love your Reaction as usual!!

Stan Jones recorded Ghost Riders In The Sky in 1948/1949, then Burl Ives did a version. It's been covered by many. The versions I knew were by The Sons of The Pioneers (Ken Curtis of Gunsmoke fame was a member) and Johnny Cash. I hadn't considered this song for Halloween, but it fits. Thanks, guys.

He's had 5 in past videos. He just never named them. Jeff, Jeoph and Goff got their names in Way Down. Daryl got his name in this one. The name of the studio is Pattycake Productions not studio. Layne is the present beatboxer. Tony Wakim is the former member. He left in 2016 to go behind the scenes and co-write, produce, edit, etc all of Pattycake's videos. 2 of their videos that are awesome for Halloween. Bump In The Night. Villains Haunted Mansion. All their videos are live action Disney related videos except Bump In The Night. It is a classic monster (Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees, Gremlin, Sanderson Sisters, and many more).
