Warsaw used to be amazing before its destruction, now it's an uglier shadow of its former self sadly. But Budapest is truly amazing tho, you Magyars are lucky unlike us.

Owszem, zachowało się więcej zabytków i historyczny układ przestrzenny, ale za to brud i smród, a wiele starych kamienic mimo ładnej fasady w złym stanie od środka czy podwórza. A blokowiska też są, a domki prywatne na obrzeżach są biedniejsze i gorsze od polskich.

I love Poland and the Polish people. Lived there from 1948, 12 year old as a refugee from the war torn Aegean Greek occupied Macedonia, and left at 19 in 1955 to join rest of my family in Canada.

We have to roll our sleeves up and insist on municipal authorities to do so before it's too late and every single plot will be built up with modern, bland and nondescript architectural crap. Of course I am not against modern architecture in general, but there are very few examples of eye-catching and remarkable buildings nowadays.
