If you guys remember in the first one, their avatars were created with Navi dna and their own. So their avatar bodies weren’t really like the Navi because they grown in the lab. So because Kiri was born from Grace’s avatar, she is still considered a half breed because Grace’s avatar had human dna (hence why they all have 5 fingers). I believe Kiri’s “father” was Eywa. Even though the transfer didn’t work I believe Ewya gave Grace’s avatar a child.

Yes, in the first movie they even called Jake Sully's avatar a demon because he had four fingers. All the Navi have three fingers, and since Navi have "sex" with their weird umbilical hair, the only sexual intercourse Grace has was with Awah. It's only 28:30 in the video right now, maybe they'll remember this vague specific detail by the end and realize that the adopted daughter is born from a human chimaera and a literal god of life. Edit: it is now 40:00, they understand!

Just to point out though, Neteyam and Tuk seem to take after Neytiri more than Jake because they have traditional Na'vi features like only having 3 fingers and they have no eyebrow hair. They still have human dna in there somewhere from Jake but I guess not enough to show physically. Lo'ak and Kiri are the only kids with visible "demon blood" I agree though about Kiri because I think that she's basically the avatar for Eywa herself

I definitely love how you realised the slight hypocrisy when it came to Spider being left behind (and yeah there wasn't a lot they could do) and how it impacted the Sully kids more than the parents. While Jake and Neytiri may have not seen Spider as their kid, they definitely saw Spider as their brother at the least.

As soon as I heard Jake call him a stray cat, I was like so what does that make you Jake? At least he's an actual child, with a mind perfect for molding. you were a grown ass man when your mind was chnaged Only difference is that Jake can "pass" as Navi, even tho he's still called a demon with his pinky
@jrlombardi5251
@jrlombardi5251 Жыл бұрын
@@Thebeezzkneezz. Jake never disliked Spider, the stray cat thing isn't an insult at all, he even says it with a fun tone of voice bc it's just related to how he comes to play with his kids, nothing about him as a person. Neytiri is the one that disliked him and while it's dumb to hate a nice kid and just for being human when so was (is) Jake, it still makes sense for her character bc it's supposed to be this way, her response to human isn't based in logic but a purely emotional thing thanks to all the trauma humans have caused her, making her to not like to see one.
@Rox7ne
@Rox7ne Жыл бұрын
@JR Lombardi tbh with you, I always thought that Neytiri hating Spider (since he was literally an innocent boy) was stupid and hypocritical of her, bcs she became literal soulmates with Jake, they even had kids and all this after she knew he was human and after she forgave him for basically destroying her home and being the cause of he father's death. So I always thought- so you can forgive Jake who was a grown a$$ man, who lied to you for MONTHS, while also knowing he was a human who was well aware of what he was doing... a human who (at the time, might not even have known the mating was for life) did horrible things you forgive but have hatred towards an innocent boy you don't know??? But for some reason after seeing your comment, now I think of her response as valid. Bcs in her eyes, she fell in love with the Avatar Jake, not the human. So when she saw his human form, she associated the Avatar Jake with the human Jake. Not vice-versa, like we (the audience & the humans) did. And as the last nail in the coffin, she got to stay with Avatar Jake, so she literally barely knew him as the human he always was. She saw Spider as a human boy from the get go, so her negative feelings never changed, she just had Avatar-glasses when she was with Jake. So now I'm actually interested how they'll tie all this up together with Jake's past (since Jake Cameron has said they'll explore Earth somewhere along the way) & Spider being a human with Neytiri's growth as a character. Lol sorry, rant over.

It was a crude joke meant to take the movie down when all the Avatar hate was high, and it just caught on and people forgot that it was only something used to make fun of it and started believing that was the case and confused a bunch of people genuinely trying to understand the movie. 28:50 Avatars are biologically made by mixing Na'vi and human DNA specifically the human DNA of the one who is piloting the avatar. All avatars have 5 fingers, all Na'vi only have 4. Jake Sully having an avatar body had sex with Neytiri so all of their kids are half-breeds. Kiri's mother is the avatar of the human scientist (Sigourney Weaver). The avatar was the one who is pregnant and not the human scientist plus she died during the first film and left her avatar unconscious. The biological mother is the avatar not the human. No human can deliver a Na'vi baby which is roughly half their size. I hate that they are arguing over a topic that is so blatantly obvious throughout two films. They should've rewatched the first film because them not remembering is preventing them from enjoying this film entirely. They're preoccupied with this topic which was thoroughly explained (heavy exposition) within the two films.

How did you miss Spider's entire introduction, Jake says he was orphaned by the war and was raised by the remaining scientists. The Sully's kids and spider just grew up together and played together. Jake and Neytiri don't think of him as their son, Jake even calls him a "stray cat" that just comes running whenever. Of course they weren't going to risk the life of their family for "the kid who lives down the street". By the end, Jake's thoughts on Spider have shifted somewhat - to what extend we'll find out in the sequel.

It’s not that they don’t care about him per se, but Jake thought more about his own kids safety, probably also thought that since that was quaritch spider didnt face as much danger as his own family did, or that’s at least my take. Kiri's mom's avatar had five fingers. Only the natives have 4. The avatars of the sky people are made from mixing the genes of the natives with the genes of humans. That then makes a "connection" which allows them to have the ability to switch conciousness between their human body and their avatar. A theory I read a while ago said something about Kiri being the daughter of Eywa (their deity) and that when the Navi tried to transfer Grace's soul to her avatar, it didn't work but instead a baby was formed. That's why Jake in the beginning said that Kiri was born from Grace's avatar not from her human form.

Hey guys, great reaction, i love all your videos, about the Kiri and Mixed DNA things, Avatars are already a mix between a human dna and Navi DNA, that's why they can link minds, you wouldn't be able to link your mind with an Avatar unless it already has your DNA code, you the reason Kiri has mix Blood, it's because she was born out of an Avatar's body with already mix DNA, also, yeah, Grace died and they tried to save her trasspaing her mind to her avatar body, this didn't work, but in the little ritual, Eywa (the Na'vi people goddess, that it's actually Pandora's interconected biological system...{{i don't know How yo describe It}}, but Na'vi people see it as a goddess), impregnated Grace's Avatar body, so...Kiri has no father, she is the daughter of Eywa "herself".

This film has made over $2.3 billion as of this date. Pandora is a whole planet with environments as diverse as Earth's. We've only seen a small part of it. There's probably polar regions, deserts, volcanos, etc. Probably as many different tribes as their are nations on Earth. But the common connection with Eywa would makes things different. As far as Kiri's birth goes, Eywa couldn't transfer Grace's conciousness into her avatar. But Grace still became one with Eywa. Remember Jake tells Eywa that Grace is in there with her and to access her memories to see what happened to Earth. I believe Eywa did the next best thing for Grace and caused her avatar body to become pregnant with with a child that has Grace's soul if not her memories. So, in a way, Kiri is the daughter of Grace and Eywa. BTW, the ponytails aren't sex organs. They are mental links. Imagine being able to comunicate with mind of the person you're having sex with. Takes it to a level beyond physical.

25:07 Neytiri had the chance to get Spider back but she doesn't care about him, because he's human. Jake doesn't want to risk going head on, worse yet, with Quaritch back, that would be suicide. So he needs to be careful.

I saw the first Avatar (2009) 28 times in theatres (26 Times in IMAX 3D). The problem with 3D movies is they were rushed out and not properly shot on 3D cameras. People just assumed that you put something in 3D it would work. James Cameron treats 3D with respect so it's really great on his Avatar Films. I saw Avatar: The Way of Water 8 times in IMAX 3D and I loved it as well. If I had to choose which film is better, then it would be Avatar. I feel though this one is really setting up the sequels so it doesn't feel as "Complete" story wise as the first one felt. However, still loved it and can not wait to visit Pandora again soon! Edit: They filmed Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar 3 back to back. So Avatar 3 is essentially all shot. They had even shot some of Avatar 4 as well. Also, Na'vi do not use their ques to mate. They simply enhance the experience. They mate the same as humans. Edit: 2 - The Avatar's are a Mix of Human and Na'vi DNA. So the Avatars have four fingers + Thumb and the Na'vi have three fingers plus Thumb. Jake an Avatar mated with Neytiri a Na'vi. Their Kids: Tuk (Youngest and only Biological daughter) has three fingers and a thumb and no eyebrows like her mom (Neytiri). Neteyam (Oldest son, has three fingers and no eyebrows like his mom. Lo'ak (Youngest son) has four fingers plus a thumb and eybrows like his dad (Jake). Kiri born of Grace's Avatar also has four fingers plus a thumb and eyebrows, like Grace's Avatar does.

Fun fact! Na'vi actually mate regularly just like humans. However, when they join their queues (the nerves in their hair that connect to the brain), it's just a ritual to join their minds. Purely for tradition! So, because of this, when they join their queue with an animal, it's nothing like mating, its just to join minds and get the animal to listen to their commands.

This movie is an excellent sequel to the first one. There is a through storyline with Na'vi vs Humans, but it's going much deeper now into more about Pandora and how it's all connected. The best way to have seen this is on the IMAX or a large screen because it truly is emmersive. I like that it was focused a bit more on the kids and going to the water tribe was a great change as well. Such care and creativity was taken with it's society and the under water flora and fauna. I don't know if you covered it in the second part but Kiri (Grace's kid) is IMO an emmisary created by Ewa when they were trying to get Grace into her Avatar. She is really connected to the planet. To me that's when Kiki was created. You guys didn't comment when in the forest when she was sleeping there was a pulsing of the wind like a heartbeat and those kinda jellyfish things collected on her. She's able to adapt easily to the water because of her connection to the Ewa. A lot of discussion and speculation could have been avoided if you guys rewatched the first before this. The Avatars are genetic hybrids of human and Na'vi DNA. So they are mixed. Sully and Neyteri's kids are one quarter human. I don't believe that the tail/ fiber thing is at all meant for sex. It like an extra sensor or conduit for bonding. It's not a reproductive organ, but I'm sure it'll enhance any intercourse they have.

Avatars and navi are the technically the same species but their physiology is different for example "a lion and a tiger, both are cats but they are not the same species", but one key difference is that avatars have eyebrows and four fingers navi only have 3 fingers and no eye brows. Out of the 3 biological kids of Jake and neteyri, loak is the only one that inherited Jake's avatar traits, Neteyam and tuk inherited more from their mother and Kiri inherited graces avatar traits. So that's what they meant when they said hybrid all they got to do is check the fingers but again it's just a genetic trait it doesn't necessarily mean all avatar/navi hybrids have 4 fingers some do and some don't lol

If we follow logic, Quaritch will see that the people in the sky don't give a damn about his wealth with the Sully's and won't invest in another attack against them because he wants it that way, therefore, Quaritch will see that none of this is worth it anymore and that perhaps he is even a target of the people of sky. So in the next film, either Quaritch will have redemption or he will join the tribe of cannibals and lead another attack and then end up dying, it's 8 or 80.

I think Jake and the children have four fingers and a thumb because they all have partial human DNA. The Avatars were grown as Navi and human hybrids and the reason Kiri is special is because Grace merged with the spirit tree so she has an enhanced connection with the environment.

I'm gonna settle this once and for all. It has been confirmed on the Avatar website that the Na'vi in fact do have sex organs. The male genitalia retracts into their body and is protected by a layer of fat. The bond (tsaheylu) or "connecting braids" is their way of bonding emotionally and spiritually. They can feel what the other feels. It is so strong it lasts a lifetime. They mate for life.

Spider wasn't raised by Jake and Neytiri, they said he was raised by the scientists that stayed in Pandora (as Max, Norm, etc), he was just their kids's friend so they obviously won't be as worried for him as for their kids, for them he's just a little kid that uses to play with theirs, ofc they won't like him getting kidnapped but as that's a horrible thing to happen to anyone, it's not like they have a deeper connection with him as the kids have.

So about Na’vi reproduction (nothing graphic): Na’vi sex works the same way as human sex, however mates will connect their kurus (the neural whip) to heighten the experience and share feelings/sensations between them (This also means that thankfully bonding with an animal on Pandora is not a sexual act either)
