Loved this video but I need to point out some mistakes - 1) you don't need to be a sanyasi to attain enlightenment according to Buddha. Buddha admitted that he could have attained Nirvana without being a sanyasi and he became a Sanyasi because he thought it was requirement. In fact there were many lay people during Buddha's time that attained Nirvana. He ADMITTED he was wrong. 2) But he realized that for Buddhism to survive for a long time there has to be monks/Sangas. This is why he continues with the Sanga tradition.

Shakyamuni wrote the last Sutra - titled the Lotus Sutra for all of us living in this age. It teaches one how to reach enlightement or your Buddhahood within without having to give up your earthly pleasures/desires. How to be happy despite our challenges and how to make others happy. Doesn't matter what teaching or path you follow, all are trying to guide you in the same direction. Once you "get it" and live by wisdom, courage, compassion...with good thoughts good words and good deeds....you will be the best version of yourself...and connected to your higher self.

In Buddhism, no one is saying you to leave everything & start sadhna. That's the whole essence of the Middle Path that you don't get into extremism... It teaches you how to do your sadhna while being on material world.

I born as Hindu. But grasped Buddhism based on my own interest and inspiration. Buddha called him as Thatagatha. That's means he followed foot steps and preached same as previous Buddha's teachings. He mentioned many rebirth about himself (Sakyamuni Buddha) and other Buddhas. So, there is no link between Sakyamuni Buddha and Hinduism. Hindus made up a story that Buddha is Vishnu Avatar. The reason is Hinduism fame get reduced because Buddhism dont believe caste system and everyone treated as same. Another reason there is no function for Brahmin act as middle man to do rituals to connect god with human. Buddha dont believe in rituals. Everyone must be treated same. No one become great based on family backgroud. Only through character, we should judge, whether there are respecful person or not. Buddha said if u work hard u can be whoever u want in this birth and future births. Buddha's teaching called as Dhamma is universal code of conduct to end rebirths sufferings. Buddha is indeed an avatāra of Visņu. But it wasn't Siddhartha Gautama Buddha. There have been many Buddha's before Siddhartha Gautama and will be several more in future. The 9th Avatāra of Visņu is Sugata Buddha. According to Vaiṣṇava Bhagavata Purāṇam, the ninth avatāra was born immediately after the beginning of Kaliyuga in the city of Gaya. We know that Siddhartha Gautama was born atleast 2500 years after the beginning of Kaliyuga in Lumbini, hundreds of kilometre away from Gaya. The Buddha mentioned as avatāra of Visnu is different than Siddhartha Gautama. Due to latter's immense popularity among masses, "some" acharyas who opposed Buddhism appropriated Siddhartha Gautama as avatāra.

There's very less study about Buddhist tradition from Buddha, In Tipitakka - The Jataka Katha section and many surtas/ suttas have guided civilised people as well, if you see the Buddha gave 5 sila for common people, but tor monks they have 117 rules. It was never a tradition to make everyone a sanyasi neither did everyone became a sanyasi, household ppl also followed the teachings of Buddha without being a sanyasi Buddhism was lost majorly because it speaks about following and doing efforts , only for monks all the details are explained We as human we love to listen, talk about spiritualism but we don't practice In Buddhist teachings it is doing not talking, hence got lost How can teachings of all the sages, divine souls, gods can clash if it is all about one aim and one universe

People get confused by the title Buddha. There are thousands of Buddha's in history. It's a title like doctor or even pandit. There's not just 1. The Buddha that is an avatar of Vishnu is *NOT* Sidhartha Gautama otherwise knows as Buddha in Buddhism. It was an avatar that came much before the prince that then became Buddha.

There is a jataka tale,Dasaratha Jataka... Narrated by Buddha... In which there is a story of Ram where he goes to Exile with his siblings lakshman and sita. Read from a proper pdf not wikipedia. There is no telling of he went to lanka or sita is his wife. So if we go by the narration that Buddha is an incarnation of vishnu then what he says in the story should be accepted as fact and the entire Ramayana loses its significance. If not then, buddha is nothing to do with vishnu and he never believed on the concept of a creator creating an universe. The Buddha tells a lot of stories of different Devas in different realms. Brahma also being such one god with an expiry date on him. Also if you go by scriptures, there are not 10 avatars, some tell there are 12 avatars or 13 or 25. The 10 avatars being the major one. The problem between Buddhism and Vedic religion started with the time Buddha giving sermons and Kings taking buddhism as an alternative for vedic religion. Vedic religion was filled with rituals and the brahmins held higher post in it and they were the beneficiaries of this rituals. These were the times Beef was the primary delicacy of tye brahmins and you can find sacrifices of cow and descriptions of Veal meat given in detail. So once Buddhism took hold of the masses and it preached vegetarianism, the Brahmins rebranded vedic religion. Plagiarized buddhist teachings into Upanishads. The Nirvana No Self of Buddha became Brahman in upanishads( not shudran or kshatrian 😉). Thats the very reason they started owning Buddha as vishnu's avatar. They have hijacked a lot of native gods into vedic religion this way. The social history of india is the conflict Vedic religion had with Buddhism. If Buddhism was not seen as a threat you won't be stories of shankaracharya debating with buddhists and asking them to give of buddhism or jump into fire or just get exiled. Also the name of his mother While prince Siddharth was born in Nepal he did achieve Buddha status in Gaya. Hii TRS we have an old rock temple in North India, Himachal. It is an old Ram temple partially broken in a massive earthquake in 1905 but the main structure still survived. In this old monolithic temple there is a Buddha face statue carved on the main shikara Or the vimana of the temple. So at least this shows there is an association between Hinduism and Buddhism Or at least the people who constructed it and the King believed in this. The temple is still there and looked after by ASI and I have pics of the same.

Buddha is an incarnation of Vishnu, in an absolute human form, without any powers. This is a much-needed avatar of Vishnu.
