BO4 is a grower, Not a Shower

The multiplayer in this game was extremely underrated. The best weve gotten in the past five cods honestly

I really did enjoy BO4, as it was the last 'traditional' game before MW19 onwards into the 'new era' of COD. I liked the gunplay, I also liked it had increased health up to 150. Although it had the longest TTK in game, it takes skill to eliminate and enemy and I didn't mind that at all The only downside I had w/ this game is the extremely OP specialists which kinda kills the flow of the game, if that makes sense BO4 and CW are probably the game I would like to go back to and play more often (although I play more of CW) and I can't wait for Treyarch's game for COD 2024

most fun multiplayer kinda... it was a extremely sweaty game...you had to slide cancel each corner and there were 3x the uavs for some reason

I really liked the feeling of SMGs in this game. Although it feels like scorestreaks were a bit easy to earn with all the abilities like scanning.

3 lane maps were pretty solid. Ranked was fun. Fun movement and cool guns .This game was solid i loved it. Everybody at the time thought i was crazy for enjoying this game

It was just way too goofy. I’m an og cod fan so I hated the long ttk, specialists and manual healing. Least amount of new maps and weapons at launch. Fortnite basically killed it immediately

there was the one lmg with the crossbar attachment to replace ADS with a tighter hipfire. I think it was called the Hades. And the pyro operator with the radiation ability on objectives like hardpoint was absolutely insane

Firebreak on Nuketown preferably Headquarters is where the let him cook meme could've originated from. You immediately got your killstreaks from the skill. Really fun!

I forgot about how much I enjoyed bo4 until I saw this video, I played the life out of it for the first 6 months when it came out then stopped for a few years played it a bit again and then haven't touched it since. Might have to hop on it this week

This was the last multiplayer that I played consistently on a daily basis. Now I don't even want to play COD anymore because I know I'm not going to have any fun. Every match will just be facing a full team of lv 1000s with like super hero skins that just mud stomp whatever team I'm put on, or I will be put in lobbies where majority of the players are barely getting about 2 kills more than the number of deaths they get. Because of that I now have absolutely no motivation to play multiplayer ever again.

I remember hating the abilities like the smahsing on the ground thing and generally being annoyed during the life of the game. However, if i knew SBMM was coming, I'd never of complained. And i loved blackout.

It’s not trash and wasn’t trash, the only thing was the constant remakes, zombies felt rushed, HUD was trash and everyone was in a full 5 man each game I played and couldn’t play casually… but other than those things… the gameplay overall was decent and playable… if they had more times the maps would of been newer and better and more content support would of been shown

bo4 was also the last cod to not have SBMM and on the old game engine

BO4 was my least anticipated COD game. I pissed about the changes and lack of Campaign. Then I played the blackout beta. I was hooked. I played so much Blackout and eventually fell in love with the game. MP was very underrated. The only negative was the initial loot box system. They did make it better towards the end.

The multiplayer in this game could have been one of the greatest ever in COD history, if only there hadn't been the Specialists... In terms of potential, this game is my biggest regret of the whole post-BO2 era. Remove the specialists, and you have a top-tier COD game, along BO1 and 2.

I bought BO4 but didn't played it during its Prime because I just didn't feel it at the time but going back to its really fun

I think most cod players perception of bo4 is this weird in-between of modern & old school, modern because it carries over the specialist system from bo3 but reworked, modern in what it tries to do with its weapon system (ballistics instead of hitscan & tailored attachments per-gun, operator mods), modern in the lack of a campaign for a whole new mode that would be a staple by the next game (although blackout outlived warzone), yet traditional in the movement system (boots on the ground for the most part), old-school maps in mp (11 classic maps, i am counting night/flooded, so about 1/3rd of all maps) & zombies (half are classics with new areas added), last game to have traditional minimap, last game to let you make your own emblem. It did have supply drops but it was the best version of the mtx system for the player in that you can obtain everything it has by opting for dupe-protected crates, which was a late addition. Last game to have map-packs. Last game with the aether zombies story before it got rebooted. If Fortnite hadn’t popped off it probably would have been remembered better. I enjoyed the game in it’s lifetime, mostly the MP, some blackout (never was quite good at it but i still try time to time), i really only enjoyed the aether maps of zombies because i miss the old maps, i didn’t like the new perks or virilium/totem system, i think cold war did better than bo4 in terms of making zombies replayable, but i appreciated that Treyarch wanted to try a new story with Chaos maps even if they left it on a cliffhanger. Even if it meant not getting classic maps back i would prefer that they leave the BO3 zombies ending to rest and put their focus and effort into the Chaos story more.

You should hop on blackout, still amazing, balanced, and smooth. Rewards positioning and has so much variety.

I really enjoyed Cold War a lot more than MW2019 or Vanguard, even more than MW2. The seasons just felt like a banger after banger, don't get me started on the zombies either. Classic CoD right there

2 call of dutys I really wouldn’t mind having come out is one from the BO3/4 era and one from the BO1 era. Would love to see them come out with a banger and just go back to their roots but I’m doubtful. At least for 2024 one of the leaks showed a file that was about a battle in like 1993 so yeah, but that could always be wrong. Just give me one more really fun COD… ugh

I loved this game, especially Blackout; However using any smg with gungo-ho, lightweight, and ghost you can full sprint shooting in the general direction and once you close the distance enough to melee you beat them down before they get a chance to react. THAT ruined MP for me

I personally really loved playing BO4 Multiplayer but I just lost the motivation to play when Treyarch starting milking the moneitzation to a level of ridiculousness that we hadn't seen before. Paid Black Ops pass, paid Bundles and Supply Drops with every item like camos having to be earned for each individual item. I loved the BO4 launch and it felt like a classic COD release because there were ZERO purchasable items and it felt like everything you earned was valuable and meant something. I even loved Blackout, which was suprising since I hated BR games before it. It's sad to see Call of Duty losing its touch with what made it so great and addicting back in the day. I just don't understand why we can't have deep and expansive progression systems combined with the store. They keep stripping the progression and customization options in favor bundles and monetization to the point there is barely anything to go after that has actual meaning except for camos.

Can't wait for fortunate to play mw3 2023!

One day we'll look back on Cold War and give it the love it deserves. I'll always ride for that game

BO4 Imo is the best cod we've had in a while and it's so overhated and for no reason other than no campaign, they let you earn battle pass stuff and would give free weapons from time to time, miss this game

Black ops 4 is the most underrated cod. Longer ttk = larger skill gap. Yeah specialists were op whatever lmao it was fun. Bright colors, fun weapons, good original maps. Top 3 cod imo

BLOPS 4 is emblematic of bad impressions colouring everything people think about the game. People were in peak supply-crate hating and this game got a tonne of bad PR because Activision cut the campaign. People wanted to hate this game, it's psychology. Still this game had more silver lining than it had storm cloud. Gunplay and movement are peak, team balancing is the best the series ever accomplished (Tries to slot in a mix of players on both teams so if you're good you'll do well but if you're more casual there's still a lot of opportunity for you to do well). EKIAs are awesome, totally removes frustrating kill steals which is just great for everybody. Balance was amazing (except some op mods lmao). High health and timed healing gave so much opportunity for skill expression and strategy. You could play mind games to run circles around whole teams which is crazy fun. I don't like BRs but I even liked Blackout a lot more than Warzone haha. My favourite game in the series, and I think a lot of people would change their minds about the game if they played it again today.

BO4 is probably the best cod for knifing with Cold War and WW2 a close second. Though MWIII looks like it’s gonna be a really fun knifing cod

The last COD I really enjoyed was Advanced Warfare, not as much as some of the OG games (COD4 - BO2) but definitely had alot of fun with it. I know alot of people loved BO3, but I hated the campaign, I didn't like what they did with zombies, and in multiplayer I wasn't a fan of the Specialists system, and I actually preferred the movement in advanced warfare

For me honestly this is borderline a top 5 cod. This is the last game I played year round and still consistently go back to. The problem with this cancerous community is it’s become habit to shit on current games until they’re 1-3 years old then everyone looks back and says it was never that bad a game.

I dropped CoD after Advanced Warfare released. I never liked the "futuristic" CoDs I thought they were stupid cash grabs and hated the gameplay in them.... But Black Ops 4 hooked me for some reason and is honestly the last CoD I played frequently. I don't 'love' the abilities and the cartoony aesthetic, but the guns and movement were literally perfect. I still play it sometimes, much more fun than new 'Warzone' era games IMO...not a huge fan of them either.

BO4 is goated. The last COD without SBMM. BO Cold War is also a very underrated COD. The last with an old school vibe.

I didn’t buy this game as I wasn’t keen on the beta. I picked it up cheap a while ago and I’ve only played a few mp matches and it just gives me the same 2 or 3 maps all the time and i get annihilated every game.

Blackout is still the best BR to ever come out. There were some problems obviously, but main qol and not game mechanics wise.they should've done a Blackout 2 rather than WZ.

Just LOOK at the difference in mechanics of this compared to the new cods. You can see the guns have punch and weight to them. The game looks fresh and like it was made with love. Was it as good as BO2? Hell no. But it's loads better than the crap we get now.

BO4 the best COD of the past generation (outside MWR which is a remaster so doesn't truly count). Blackout is also the best COD battle royale (and my favorite BR ever). It's a massive shame it never got its own free to play mode, super beautiful map, verticality, great incorporation of Treyarch maps, etc...
