First up, I respect your video - there's a lot of effort here! Nonetheless, I mean judging it is one thing, but even if we say that your score is the correct one and the Olympic judges were wrong, it's not appropriate to only evaluate this ONE routine and then say "therefore, Dina should've easily won!". We'd need to examine all routines from both. But in any case, I believe the Olympic judges were correct - if anything a little generous to Dina in her ball routine especially.

I don't understand why the focus is purely on the ribbon portion of the competition, Linoy scored higher in hoop, clubs and got the same score on ball. Yes, she dropped the ribbon but her cumulative score was still higher?

Why don’t you make an analysis for all 4 routines of both Dina and Linoy? When you do that, you can see that Dina difficulty on that day just 1 point lower than Linoy, not even talk about some imprecise elements in hoop and ball. Also Dina ball difficulty was as overscored as Linoy ribbon

First of all Dina got higher scores in qualifications than Linoy and Linoy did drop her ribbon which means she couldn't have gotten more scores.. as simple as that.. also Dina's score were counted for 6 min!!!! Clearly because they were counting her scores so that she would lose... Dina said in the interview that she knew she would lose because of how long they were scoring her!

Just going to point out again that this is Linoy's routine from the world championships, not the Olympics

Well you used footage from Varna, which makes this entire analysis "what she would get if she executes everything in a perfect way". She was however far from her best form in Tokyo, but she still got top score in ribbon. Unless we see full footage of all 4 routines maybe for the top 5 gymnasts analyzed for both D and E we can't be sure if it was fair or not.

Dina had a lot of unfinished movements and was in "safe mode". There were 4 elements not Just one. Linoy was better than Dina in 3 of them. Shame on you for putting Just the Linoy one element. Averinas had a very bad attitude since the beginning of the competence.

Hello! You miss some AD. For example, AD2 during 5 jumps (work with the ribbon during BD without visual control) 0:53 last rotation begins without waiting which was shown by raising the arm and body moved back to the rotation. 1:38 AD2 during S (work with ribbon without hands during 180-rotation)

good analysis, thank you. Matches my feeling, I think here everyone could see that something was definitely wrong with twins's and Linoy scores and even if you don't think so- for me personally big issue was that the final ribbon score for Dina was calculated almost 6 min, that smells for some math afoot which is never good in subject types of sport and tells me just one thing- the scores for Dina were calculating artificially to amend them to the result the judges want.

Thank you so much for this video! I came to the same conclusions after studying the championships that took place before the Olympics - very strange low marks by Averin and very high Ashram at the Olympics.

All the people here who claim Linoy is true gold medalist say, "I just feel that Linoy did much better" without any clear evidence. Or they argue that one ribbon won't change the result because Linoy was better in the previous three events. But in the results, the difference in scores between the two was only 0.15 points, and did you know that the judges took 6 minutes to score Dina's ribbon? Other athletes at the Olympics and Linoy herself must have known there was something fishy about the scoring taking so long. And contrary to what people misunderstand, Dina's ribbon routine ended exactly to the music. Anyone who is interested in rhythmic gymnastics would not make such an irrational claim. Calculate the score yourself just once.And if Linoy had won the gold medal without making any mistakes, no one would have pointed it out, so don't accuse those who take Dina's side of being Russian. i am not russian😮 Even though Russia has committed so many corruptions, Olympic gold medals always find their way back to their owners, and this time Linoy did exactly what happened in Sochi figure skating. Corrections: The DB score should have been 5.4 and the DB judges were spot on. I thought that a jump series is counted as one body difficulty but it isn't so the illusion and cabriole should be excluded from the DB score as the top 9 BDs count only. (thank u Amy Burke for the correction :) ) But I still stand my point of the DA score being too high. I still can't find any explanations for the extra 0.600.

wooo it's up! here's a couple of things i noticed! (1) you can only count the top 9 BDs, however, in your analysis you accidentally counted 11!! (you counted the illusion and cabriole, which were merely used to validate her ADs): this is where the extra 0.2 came from in your DB! (2) as i said before - it's highly likely that they could've counted that 0.8 risk as its hard to see in real time a clear stop!! but you accounted for this in your comments afterwards :) (3) in the risk at 1:20 i think you forgot to put an R2? the risk should be 0.6! (4) there's a possibility that they counted the AD at 1:51 as AD3 for base = high throw/toss, criteria = in a BD, without sight (due to back bend)?? just thinking out loud though haha (5) tbh the D3/4 judges had the hardest job at the competition so bringing in politics isn't rlly fair i think :(( (6) it's past midnight and im tired but i think if you count that stag arch as a 0.3 AD as well, plus the added risk criteria, it should add up? approximately? i'll have another look in the morning lol

A lot of mistakes and mex bds are 9 so you can’t count that cabriole and illusion too 1:17 she saw it -0.4 here 1:28 when form was on releve she did 3 spirals instead of 4-5 no bd and no ad 1:32 after 2nd rotation she always does one step so last rotation and catch cannot be counted due to interruption 1:04 3 spirals=no AD 0:34 same thing as on 1:32 she should stay in place

I can't even watch the full AA final. It just breaks my heart really. I'm all for fair game but I just don't think Linoy should have gotten the gold. She lacks a lot of factors that make a gold medalist. And it's such a downgrade from past Olympic winners. I mean how can you compare irina tchachina who got a silver to Linoy Ashram who got a gold? Irina tchachina is a freaking legend and the fact that a Linoy was able to surpass her boggles my mind.

yeah I am not surprised. The high scores for Linoy just didnt make sense to me. I can remember watching this. But the problem is not just the last routine. Dina and Arina got very low scores on all other routines aswell. I would not be surprised if they overscored Linoy from the first until the last routine. And at the same time they were taking away the Apparatus Difficulty from the Twins.

you forgot a very important detail, Linoy had better scores in 3 from 4 rounds, if that doesn't mean she was the clear winner I don't know what will. by the way, all the ones who thinks they cheatedd or I don't know what, they checked the score multipul times during and after the compotion, and with outsider judges. And one last thing, (at list for now) from the moment you qulefiled to the finals you earase what hapened before and starts from zero so the fact that every third person writes that dina done better at the first level doen't mean a thing.

This is not a good look for rhythmic gymnastic. And I'm not talking about the arguing and the judges. I'm talking about Linoy, deserving or not of the gold medal. There are things that really made rhythmic gymnastic in the first place. The music, the connection to the music, the story, the beauty in the lines and her jumps and her landing and her oversplit. How the routines can be dynamic and soft at the same time. ETC ETC. These are things that are not displayed in Linoys routine . And if you say they are, I automatically assume you don't have an idea of what you're talking about or you're just biased but a coach can clearly see that she lacks certain qualities. But like I said, gold medal deserving....or not, it doesn't matter.
