I still kinda wish that they actually showed us how Tsuyoshi, Akira, Daita, Peggy, and Kenji actually got their powers. All we saw was that they were the sole survivors of the Black Cross Army’s attacks and immediately was cut to them training with their Goranger powers.

After watching a couple of seasons of super sentai non chronologically I decided to watch everything else in order and just started watching Goranger, also love Kiranger, definitely my favorite and had no idea about his end, very sad to hear, but hey, excelent video and can't wait tp also watch every season and then come here to see what you have to say about them

AH i see you too are a fan of daita, a common trope i've noticed in sentai was that more often than not yellow will be "best boi/girl". Also respec for starting from Gorenger like me, i managed to binge both kamen rider and sentai in the span of one year.

(Thank you for the summary) So my American version is “go star rangers go” is about there is no power rangers no grid nothing like that just invading evil force that been there for 40 years called the imperial force the goal is to keep the power and control but there an resistance called eagle led by commander eagle against iron fortress (that’s the imperial fortress captail) called the iron dictator so the iron dictator decided to attack one of the important bases that only five survived the five are our main heroes one who friends with a brother who lead the base passed away honorably,a guy who doesn’t hesitate to attack and ask questions later but he is cool,the comedic relief character who he or she friends with this kid who is very smart,a woman who in love with star 1 (red) but she went through but she uses her heart,and finally a person who cocky and a loner but learns in time to be a team player,so a muti colored meteor comes to earth into commander eagle base so he says”scientists convert that into power we can use against the imperial fortress” so the scientists convert that into five star Morphers and commander eagle tells the five to come here and make them into super soldiers that are called starrangers (the first ever power rangers) so with their ball and their commander disguises they gave the iron fortress a headache but they are scary and very calculated commander eagle reveals the truth about why he did this to save his brother but turns out his brother is iron dictator so,near the finale there was a spy who worked for the iron regime but the pink star loves him and shock and hurt that he was evil so the finale has the iron dictator more powerful then ever I mean he attack hard and evade their attacks but the starrangers found a way to defeat him with the kid help and commander eagle by the super power muti color ball and topple the iron regime and create the star grid the end Sorry but this is my summary of my version I tried my best to figure out btw I love your summaries keep up the great work

my my, what do we have here. now this video series is gonna be something great i can tell. goranger for me was always a comfort food kinda show; whenever i had a spare hour id just put on an ep or two of this to fill the void, a purpose which it suits perfectly, but binging the whole thing is just taxing, at least the ost is good. from a personal viewpoint i feel that sentai's most consistantly great period is the 80s to the 90s, which obviously some good stuff before and after, but itll be instereting to see someone who actually cares about this stuff discussing them in-depth like this. looking forward to more, just a shame that approximately 84 people are gonna watch this series until you get to jetman.

This was a great review. This might come as a surprise to you but Goranger is actually my favorite sentai along with Flashman and Dairanger. When I first got into Sentai Goranger stood out to me the most because it was the original and it’s were the franchise started. It show also had certain charm to it that no other sentai had.

Love this man, can’t wait to see more, but I have a bit of constructive criticism if you feel like hearing it. Your speaking cadence was a bit fast at times, perhaps slow down a bit? Also idk if it’s me but there were times were your voice got louder than I expected like around 13:31

I was going to do my own Super Sentai series of videos, with a counter for the number of Green Rangers who die and are then revived. It happens more often than you'd think at first...

I thought that the first few episodes weren't too shabby, and since I became interested in it after having seen Power Rangers....and this was back in 1995, after I had read an article about Super Sentai in an issue of an anime rag called Protoculture Addicts. Of course, I didn't actually watch the show until the Internet became more widely available etc., and even then when I first saw the series there were no subtitles, the video quality of the source tapes at the time were pretty bad, and you're lucky if you get to see the occasional Japanese commercial.

The Gorenger manga (one of them anyway, there were actually two by Ishinomori) does explain why Akarenger's suit looks a bit different; it turns out it was the prototype the other suits were based on. Random bit of trivia, allegedly the reason Peggy is "Momorenger" and not "Pinkurenger" so because momo can be short for "futomomo," and the staff thought Lisa Komaki had very nice thighs

We in the Philippines watched this in the late 70s redubbed as Star Rangers. It's fondly remembered by my generation who were lucky enough to get tokusatsu shows delivered straight from Japan before Power Rangers was made.

Peggy certainly is in my top 5 Pink rangers and the best for quite a few years.

Goranger was first made as Kamen Rider's spinoff

To be fair, I don't know if it is because my age or something else, but I can't just watch those Sentai, Riders and old Tokusatsu shows, the early years just look ridiculous in my eyes. The costumes are ugly, the characters are lame, the monsters are worse than now, the series itself aged like milk (At least is not that crappy as Battle Fever). The true Sentai evolution started with Liveman and Jetman. You're doing good for humanity watching this shows so people doesn't have to.
