Thank you so much for this Teaching. I went to Church yesterday and of course the Preacher preached that Jesus was Crucified on Friday . I Almost got up and walked out . I'm Christian and have always felt in my Spirit that this Teaching was wrong. Thank You Jesus for Saving Me .

The reason is because most of Christian churches comes from Catholicism, Lutherans, Presbiterians, etc that follow the same pagan fest

Wednesday night started a high sabbath which is the feasts of unleavened bread. So they killed him on a wed. and had to get him buried before sundown which was a high holy sabbath. Then Friday came and saturday was a sabbath. So like he said, he was buried for 3 days and 3 nights.

@@Brother_Phil_J @Brother_Phil_J.2mo ago @DD450 open your mind and read scripture without preconceived ideas and you will agree with him. ME: I have studied the scriptures you suggested as well as Exodus chapter 12 in which God instituted the Passover and the 7 days of unleavened bread. Here's the interesting portion this was in the 1st month. In Leviticus chapter 23 it refers to the 1st month and the 7th month. Christ was the Passover lamb in the 1st month therefore the other Sabbaths are irrelevant and did not occur during that week Jesus being the Passover lamb. The day after Passover was a High Sabbath. ME: John is the only Gospel that this was written in. The other Gospels call it as in Mark 15:42 Mark was very specific in identifying it as the Sabbath. More proof is in Luke 23:56. What Sabbath is Luke referring to? If it was a Sabbath-rest from one of those in the 7th month, all the Gospels would have specified which one and they don't. Become familiar with Lev. 23, Num. 28, Explain 12. ME: I am familiar with all of them and God does not call anything in the 1st month a Sabbath. He calls them "His (LORD'S) Passover" (Exodus 12:11) and in verse 17 God calls it "the Feast of Unleavened bread" Neither one of these is called a Sabbath. To say that they are is changing what God Himself called them thus changing His words if you are one who studies the Bible then you know that will have cause all of the plagues to come up on you Revelation 22-18-19 and there are Old Covenant scriptures as well that covers the entire Bible. All of that said all 4 of the Gospels can only refer to one Sabbath and that one is found in Exodus 20:8-11 the one that Mary Magdalene followed according to that commandment (Luke 23:56).

Genesis 1:5 DARKNESS = NIGHT. Jesus died when it was DARK, which is the RULES of when to kill the PASSOVER LAMB. This has nothing to do with HOURS, but LIGHT AND DARK. Jesus said NOTHING about TOME/GRAVE. This is about DEATH/RESURRECTION, not TOMB/GRAVE. Leviticus 23:5-8 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD’s passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: SEVEN DAYS ye must eat unleavened bread. In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Exodus 12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. Exodus 12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. Luke 22:1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. PASSOVER Day #1 Nisan 15-Friday-Begins “ON” Thursday “AT” sunset-Sabbath-Kill the lamb (Last Supper) & Jesus Day #2 Nisan 16-SATURDAY-WEEKLY SABBATH Day #3 Nisan 17-SUNDAY-Jesus Rose from the Dead Day #4 Nisan 18-MONDAY Day #5 Nisan 19-TUESDAY Day #6 Nisan 20-WEDNESDAY Day #7 Nisan 21-THURSDAY-ENDS “ON” THURSDAY “AT” SUNSET-SABBATH Passover is a seven day feast, not a one day thing. It begins on the 14th day of the first month at evening, and ends on the 21st day of the first month at evening. Three Days and Three Nights FRIDAY *Night #1. About 3:00pm Friday (PARTIAL NIGHT) DEATH FRIDAY Day #1. 3:00pm (Sunrise) to Sunset Friday SATURDAY Night #2. Sunset to Sunrise Saturday SATURDAY Day #2. Sunrise to Sunset Saturday SUNDAY Night #3. Sunset to Sunrise Sunday **Day #3. Sunrise Sunday (PARTIAL DAY) 1. DARK John 20:1 “The first day of the week (SUNDAY) cometh Mary Magdalene EARLY, when it was yet DARK, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.” 2. EARLY IN THE MORNING Luke 24:1 “Now upon the first day of the week (SUNDAY), VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.” If you were to only believe the evidence provided, you would be willing to believe that it was dark. But what about the rest of the four gospels? Why do they conveniently leave those accounts out? Let’s look at those accounts. 3. DAWN Matthew 28:1-2 “In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. NOTE: The stone was rolled away at DAWN. So, if Jesus rose from the dead on Saturday, as they claim, he was STUCK in that TOMB until Dawn on Sunday. 4. SUNRISE Mark 16:2-4 “And VERY EARLY in the morning the first day of the week (SUNDAY), they came unto the sepulchre AT THE RISING OF THE SUN. And they said among themselves, WHO SHALL ROLL US AWAY THE STONE from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away…” Note: The stone was rolled away at DAWN, and at SUNRISE, they asked, “who shall roll away the stone?” No, the women didn’t get to the “tomb” until AFTER sunrise, and NO, Jesus didn’t rise from the dead on Saturday.

@manuelester7420
@manuelester7420 Жыл бұрын
@@sie7755 You're crazy. You have to look at everything, spiritual and physical, because everything isn't spiritual. Many things in the bible are totally literal and physical. And it all helps our spiritual growth. Jesus died on a Wednesday because there were 2 Sabbaths following his crucifixion. One on the following day, which started at Wednesday sunset. Mary and the women didn't have time to buy and prepare the spices to anoint his body. So they rested on Thursday, the high Sabbath day, as the bible said and then the following day on Friday, they bought and prepared the spices and never took it to the tomb and they rested again, because Saturday had arrived. So Saturday they also rested. They rested twice according to two different disciples. One said they rested first and then prepared the spices. The other disciple said they prepared the spices first and then rested. For these two accounts not to contradict each other, there had to be two Sabbaths with one full day in between them, and that could never fit between Friday and Sunday. Totally impossible. So Wednesday crucifixion, Thursday high Sabbath rest, Friday spices bought and prepared, Saturday rest again. Then Saturday just before sunset, in the end of the Saturday Sabbath, Matthew 28:1 says that Mary came to the tomb and finds it empty. Look at the first words of Matthew 28: 1. It says, "in the end of the Sabbath Mary came". It was still Sabbath and Jesus was already risen.😍😎 Halleluyah!

Thank you so much. Many years ago A Christian Jew who had been a Rabbi spoke at out church and brought this to my attention. A few years ago I wrote a paper (for myself) pointing out the Passover Sabbath days and the various things you bring out. A couple of days ago, I saw a post that claimed to know when Jesus died but the writer insists that the Gospels all agree that He died on Friday because they all mention He was buried before the (Saturday) sabbath. Now I have seen two posts that agree with my beliefs and it is a relief to know I am not seeing what is not there. Again, Thank you.

Darel Phillips, The Bible tells us that Jesus was crucified on a Friday. You take ONE out of context scripture, "Mt 12: 40" and you Reject the NINETEEN scriptures that say Jesus rose on the third day. [1]You cannot get a 3 days and 3 nights from Wednesday, Thursday or a Friday to Sunday. So that rules out Mt 12: 40. Plus, You cannot go by ONE out of context scripture, You need at least two witnesses, [Two scriptures]. [2]You cannot get the 3rd day from a Wednesday to a Sunday. [3]The Bible tells us that Jesus was crucified the day before the Sabbath and rose the day after the Sabbath. So according to you, You must believe Jesus rose on a Friday, Because your view is, Jesus died on Wednesday, [Thursday was a Sabbath ] So you must believe Jesus rose the next day, Making it a Friday. So you can see how wrong your are. [4]The reason why that Sabbath was a High day, Was because it was during the Passover week. [5]The Bible tells us what Jesus did from Palm Sunday to resurrection Sunday, and He was still alive on Friday until 3 pm.

A Messiah does not miss his own sign: 2 Peter 1:20 KJV - Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. Believing a false teaching of a Jesus who was in the grave 2 nights and 1 day is belief in a Jesus that didn't exist, making the word of God of none effect. If this Jesus didn't exist, he can't save any one. The Jesus who was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights is the real Jesus, who will come for his sheep. This is the Messiah. If he had not been buried 3 days and 3 nights, he would not be the Messiah. A messiah who will not do what he says he will do is just a false prophet. John 11:9 KJV - Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. John 11:10 KJV - But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. What matters is what God says. Private interpretations make a mockery of God's word. God highly values his word. Psalm 138:2 KJV - I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Proof that Jesus did not resurrect on Sunday: Leviticus 23:9 KJV - And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Leviticus 23:10 KJV - Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: Leviticus 23:11 KJV - And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. Any one believing a Sunday resurrection is going to have a hard time explaining Firstfruits. Firstfruits is what he was waiting to do at the empty tomb early Sunday morning. He as priest cannot wave himself as the sheaf of the Firstfruits on a resurrection Sunday, because the priest must present Firstfruits on the morrow after the sabbath: on the day after the sabbath. A sabbath must pass. That means waving Firstfruits Sunday a weak later. But since Jesus waved firstfruits on that first Sunday, he had to resurrect on Saturday the day before. Otherwise, he'd be breaking the law (Leviticus 23:9-11). 1 Corinthians 15:20 KJV - But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1 Corinthians 15:23 KJV - But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 KJV - But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 KJV - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:15 KJV - For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 KJV - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thessalonians 4:17 KJV - Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:18 KJV - Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 2 Peter 3:10 KJV - But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:12 KJV - Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2 Peter 3:13 KJV - Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Isaiah 65:17 KJV - For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Job 14:10 KJV - But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? Job 14:12 KJV - So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

Timeline of Crucifixion week: Nisan 8 Thursday: Jesus dines with Lazarus and his sisters (six days before the Passover, Nisan 14). Nisan 9 Friday: Palm Friday (Jesus rides into Jerusalem in Judgment). Nisan 10 Saturday: Palm Saturday (Jesus rides into Jerusalem in Blessing: the Lamb is chosen on Nisan 10). Nisan 14 Wednesday Jesus dies (the Lamb is killed on Nisan 14); he was buried just before sundown, as Thursday was about to begin. Nisan 15 Thursday: (the high sabbath, plus the sealing of the tomb). Nisan 16 Friday: The women buy and prepare spices. Nisan 17 Saturday: Jesus rose from the dead, just before sundown, as Sunday was about to begin. Nisan 18 Sunday: Firstfruits: Jesus offered himself as the firstfruits of the harvest, on the morrow after the sabbath; the morrow after the sabbath (Saturday) is the next day (Sunday); If Jesus rose on Sunday, he could not offer himself as firstfruits on that same Sunday, as firstfruits are offered after the sabbath (Saturday); he would have to wait a full week, for Saturday to pass, and offer himself on the next day: Sunday Nisan 25. Jesus is the firstfruits of the harvest. The harvest is the Second Coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God bless!

No Palm Sunday. And I've wondered about the women buying of spices which is another clue. They didn't buy spices before or on the day of preparation when he was killed just like the lamb. That would mean they knew he was going to die beforehand. They would have embalmed him on the day he died. They rested on the high Shabbat, next day bought the spices and rested again on the weekly Shabbat The question now is : why didn't they go to the tomb on the day they bought the spices? There was ample time. Asking because while it doesn't affect my belief in Yeshua it's something I don't understand about when we discuss the details from a Jewish perspective as written in Scriptures. Shalom

Well, science and scripture prove he was crucified on the 4th day (Wednesday) and raised on the 7th day (Saturday) late in the afternoon before the sunset and before each day was over. So yes, he was raised on a saturday before the first day of the week in the Jewish calendar. So Sunday is out of the question.

Naky Mawlot, The Bible tells us that Jesus was crucified on a Friday.

God bless you sir for this exposition. I worship with God's kingdom society here in Nigeria and we have never held Christ death on Friday but on Wednesday. As a matter of fact in the book of Daniel 9:7, the Bible tells us that the Messiah shall cause sacrifices and oblations to cease in the midst of the week. This is indicative of his death which ultimately will bring to end any form of sacrifice and oblations by reason of his own sacrificial blood.

Thanks, Pastor. Nicely done. Sadly, many churches don't preach the Jewish Feasts or that there are two Sabbaths the week of Passover. I think the confusion we Gentiles have on this topic is caused by our attempt to convert the Jewish calendar (sunset to sunset) to our Gregorian calendar. If we can resist that temptation and just focus on the Feasts, the issue is simplified considerably and more in line with how Jewish readers of Scripture would understand it. Exodus 12:1-20 sets aside: - The 10th day of Nissan as the day to select the Passover animal - The 14th day of Nissan as Passover, the day to sacrifice the animal - The 15th day of Nissan as the start of the week-long Feast of Unleavened Bread. The 15th and the 21st are High Sabbaths. Leviticus 23:9-11 sets aside: - The 1st day of the week (Sunday) that occurs within the week-long Feast of Unleavened Bread as First Fruits. Focusing on the Feasts, one would expect Jesus to be: - Selected on the 10th - Crucified on the 14th (Passover) - Raised 3 days later on the 17th (First Fruits). This pattern can fit a Wed, Thur, or Fri Passover. I lean toward a Thursday Passover because I believe Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem best fits a 10th day selection of the Passover Lamb. This would make: - Nissan 10 a Sunday (Palm Sunday when the people selected Jesus as their Messiah) - Nissan 12 a Tuesday (when Jesus was anointed with oil) - Nissan 14 a Thursday (Passover when Jesus was sacrificed and buried, and the day of preparation for the high Sabbath.) - Nissan 15 a Friday (the first day of the week-long Feast of Unleavened Bread, a high Sabbath ) - Nissan 16 a Saturday (the weekly Sabbath) - Nissan 17 a Sunday (First Fruits, the day Jesus is raised. Also, the day the women prepared spices (after sundown) and then visited the tomb prior to sunrise.)
@benny-yj7pq

You have not only the 3 days and 3 nights, but also the "after three days", that are at least 72 hours. The only solution with 72 hours is from Wednesday 3pm to Saturday 3 pm. Mat 28:1 is on the end of the Sabbath, when the 2 woman VISITED the tomb, that is Saturday about 6 pm.The new day, Sunday, was approaching, when the stone was rolled away and the angel said, that Jesus is not here, He is risen, that means, He is risen before 6 pm, obviously about 3 pm. The Sunday resurrection is made by the Roman church to change the Sabbath to the Sunday. The persecution afterwards of anyone who kept the Sabbath and the 14th and 17th of Nisan in Asia Minor gives witness of it. The 17th of Nisan is the Resurrection Day, it is a date and has nothing to do with a Sunday or any other day. It is like our birthday.

@@benny-yj7pq the gospel narratives make it clear that the empty tomb discovery was at sunrise. The women went to it before the sun rose, not before it fell. And with all that imagery and symbolism discussed, it's weird that one should picture Jesus rising while the sun falls. The sun as a symbol for Jesus is an aspect of the text, not a latter pagan reading of it.

Hello my brother (I am assuming you are a man....) or sister.... I wanted to refer you to Marks Gospel ...chapter 16 verses 1 to 4 which will show you that Thursday Passover is not possible as it would have left no available day for Mary, Mary James and Salome to go and buy spices....as they would not break the Sabbath.... If Passover (Crucifixion) was Thursday then Friday would be first day of unleavened bread (High Sabbath) and Saturday would be weekly Sabbath.... Actually Wednesday is prophetic. 4th Day....the day of Gods creation when he created the luminaries..... Lesser light to rule the night (David) ushering in the greater light to rule the day (Yeshua) He rose on the seventh day (God's Perfection) a Sabbath Thus also representing himself as lord of the Sabbath As he foreshadows in John 5 at the healing of the man at Bethesda when he heals on the Sabbath...."my father is working and so am I...." foreshadowing his greatest work...His resurrection... What work...our Salvation Finally all this occurs in 28AD.... When Yeshua is 31 approx....one year old lamb as prophesied (into his ministry and after the Holy Spirit descended upon him) and he was declared as the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. Yes just over a year ministry..... That is also what makes his ministry so incredible.... Finally Daniel 9:27 is amazing when viewed as a dual prophecy.... Yeshua (for half a week shall put an end to sacrifice) and then will come the Antichrist....before Gods wrath is poured out on him.🙏

Lk 23:53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. Lk 23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. Lk 23:55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. Lk 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Lk 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. Friday - Lk 23:54 Day of Preparation (All gospels talk on this and Mt 27:62-28:1 specifies the regular weekly Sabbath followed it. Saturday - Lk 23:56 Sabbath rested (it's the regular weekly as Luke is referring to the 3rd Commandment.) Sunday - Lk 24:1 1st Day of the Week. Mt 27:62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Mt 27:63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Mt 27:64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Mt 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. Most get hung up on Mt 12:40 but it's a Jewish idiom and doesn't need to be taken literally in the modern sense. 1 Sam 31 and Esther 4:16, 5:1 proves this. Jews in those days counted any part of the calendar day as a day. The Emmaus disciples clearly say Resurrection day 3 is still going on. Lk 24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

Excellent presentation. Your assessment makes a lot of sense, but there's one issue I haven't been able to reconcile, which I hope you can clarify for me. How do you reconcile your explanation with Luke 24:21? If Saturday was the third day, then on Sunday morning, why does Cleopas tell Jesus it is the third day since all this happened?
@FtWTexan
@FtWTexan 3 жыл бұрын
Shalom TWB, I read Luke 21 and understand your question. Not sure how to explain the third day statement. Have you seen in Acts 7:16 where Stephen, says Abraham purchased the burial cave from the sons of Harmor in Shechem, which is clearly wrong. Abraham purchased the burial cave from Ephron the Hittite son of Zohar of Hebron. Genesis 23 Luke’s, accounting of Stephens dialogue of the patriarchs isn’t 100% correct and the quote from Cleopas, “ being the third day “ may not be correct neither. Not faith shattering, but interesting for truth lovers.

@@FtWTexan Luke 24:21 is a bad translation. The Sunday is not the third, but the fourth day, AFTER all these things happened, the third day has passed, before the disciples went home on Sunday. They waited the 3 full days, why they should go earlier. Acts 7:16 seems to be difficult, because Jacob bought the burial place in Sychem (Gen 33:19) and Abraham the Machpelah in Hebron. Stephen speaks about the fathers, that were carried and buried in Sychem. That were Joseph and obviously his brothers, the patriarchs. Jacob was buried in Hebron.

The special Sabbath day stated in John 19:31 which called a high day Sabbath was still celebrated by the Jews during the 7th day of the week (Saturday) and not other day like Thursday. It is always the 7th day of the week. The Bible still clearly indicate that Jesus died on FRIDAY afternoon during the Preparation Day which is before the weekly Sabbath (Saturday) based on Luke 23:44-54 and Jesus rose early morning of SUNDAY on the first day of the week (Mark 16:9 and Mark 16:2). Mark 16:9 and Mark 16:2 indicate that Jesus rose very early morning or dawn of Sunday. Luke 24:19-21 also indicate that Jesus rose ON the third day meaning DURING the first day of the week. Matthew 12:40 did not say that Christ will be inside the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights. The words IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH can mean CAPTURED for 3 days and 3 nights just like Jonah was captured by the big fish for 3 days and 3 nights. Jesus was captured night of Thursday, tortured during the day of Friday, crucified from 9am of Friday and died at 3pm of Friday and before 6pm of Saturday(Jesus must be in the tomb before the start of Sabbath, before sunset of Friday. Jesus was betrayed and captured on Thursday night, then Friday day, then Friday night, then Saturday night, then Sunday day at dawn Jesus rose early in the morning (Mark 16:9, Mark 16:2). So, I still believe Jesus died at 3pm of Friday, 6th day of the week(the Preparation Day before the weekly Sabbath-7th Day of the week) based on Luke 23:44-54 and based on Mark 16:9 Jesus rose very early in the morning of Sunday(part of the 1st day of the week), which is the third day since the crucifixion of Christ based on Luke 24:19-21 and Luke 24:1-3. My explanation is written below. The SIGN of 3 days and 3 nights versus the terms ON THE THIRD DAY and AFTER 3 DAYS. These verses below should not contradict and relay an important rule of counting a day by the Jews: Matthew 12:40---Jesus will be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. Esther 4:16---for 3 days(night or day) Esther 5:1---on the third day Matthew 28:1-Resurrected at dawn of the first day of the week(Sunday) Matthew 26:61-His body will be revived within or in 3 days (resurrected in 3 days) Matthew 27:40---IN 3 DAYS (resurrected in 3 days) Matthew 27:63---AFTER 3 DAYS (resurrected after 3 days) Luke 9:22---ON THE THIRD DAY (resurrected on the 3rd day) Luke 24:5-7----ON THE THIRD DAY (resurrected on the 3rd day) Luke 24:19-21---IT IS THE THIRD DAY since the crucifixion of Christ (resurrected on the 3rd day) These verses above are some of the Bible verses used as basis that the phrases "on the third day", "it is the third day", "in 3 days", "after 3 days", and "3 days and 3 nights" which refer to Christ's death and resurrection MEAN THE SAME in the Bible. Websites as references for further study: bible.org/question/were-three-days-and-three-nights-jesus-was-grave-full-72-hours www.amazingfacts.org/media-library/book/e/81/t/three-days-and-three-nights www.gotquestions.org/sign-of-Jonah.html Christ was in the grave NOT in exact and literal 3 days & 3 nights because the Bible also says that Christ rose ON THE THIRD DAY. The phrase ON THE THIRD DAY is an evidence that the third day was NOT exact 24 hours and Jesus resurrected on or during the third day. Based on Luke 23:54-56, the women prepared spices during the Preparation Day(FRIDAY) before Sabbath(Saturday) and also Mark 16:1-2 said they bought spices after Sabbath(Saturday), which is before verse 2 that speaks about the next day which is the 1st day(Sunday) of the week, to anoint Jesus body after Sabbath which is in the morning of Sunday but they found the tomb empty already. So, I believe that Jesus died on the cross at 3pm of Friday just before evening and Jesus rose early morning of Sunday. The verses in Esther 4:16 and Esther 5:1 prove that the term 3 days and 3 nights, on the third day and after 3 days mean the same since Jews considered part of the day(24-hours) as 1 day based on the verses above. That is the reason why I still believe in the popular belief passed on by the early Christians to us basing on how Jews treat part of a day as one day. This is the reason why the early disciples of Christ meet together in worship, in prayer, and in breaking of bread every first day of the week which is Sunday based on their activities written in the book of Acts. I don't believe the early Christians were wrong in their interpretation of the Bible that Christ's body died on Friday and rose early morning of Sunday. The Bible is worthy of belief. Jesus is alive.

@@boyetmanzares9620 my brother, can I encourage you to go back and read your comments regarding the buying of spices.....all 4 gospel accounts must be read and included in any interpretation....so if you maintain Friday Crucifixion (Not a Sabbath as scripture tells us it was Passover - preparation day) and Mary and Mary bought spices AFTER the Sabbath....then according to your account they only have Sunday to buy the spices....but Luke's and John's account have Mary at the tomb before light.....when did she buy the spices and when did she prepare them.... As for Luke 24:21 I encourage people to read the Greek text and ask for help to receive explanation as to how "article" is describrd in context when pointing to something like time/day I sincerely believe from the text, Cleopas was describing that 3 days (representing 3 completed days) had passed..... Please share your thoughts and may our Lord Jesus Christ continue to open the eyes and soften the hearts of those who seek after his righteousness 🙏

The most important thing is to know that Jesus was crucified because of our sins and not the day because the days always changes

Wednesday versus Friday Crucifixion: does it matter? It matters, because it's not enough to say that Jesus was crucified, died, buried, and rose again. He prophesied his burial to last exactly three days and three nighs, a full 72 hours. This is the Jesus of the Holy Bible, the true Jesus, of the true Gospel. If any one describes Jesus as having been buried 36 hours, they are describing a different Jesus, a false Jesus, not the Jesus of the Holy Bible, therefore a false bible, making it an anti-gospel, a false gospel. The Holy Bible says that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. A 36-hour burial is a private interpretation, not based on careful study, including the first three full days in Genesis, plus Jesus describes a single day as having 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness (John 11:9,10 KJV), as well as all the ordinances of the Passover, where the Lamb gets selected on Nisan 10, and killed on Nisan 14 Passover. Passover the 14th can happen on any day of the week. So if Passover is the day Jesus gets killed, the next day is the 15th the feast sabbath, not necessarily the weekly sabbath. If burial day Passover the 14th is a Wednesday, the 15th is the feast sabbath on a Thursday. And 3 days and 3 nights being 72 hours, the ressurrection happened on Saturday the 17th. How could you reconcile the Gospel verses where the women buy and prepare the spices after the sabbath, as well as before the sabbath? It's not a contradiction; the only logical answer is that there were 2 sabbaths: Thursday Nisan 15, and Saturday Nisan 17. If you don't have The Holy Bible - King James Version - KJV, you may never have the chance to study, absorb, and figure these things out, because the New Age bibles will lie to you. Yes, these bible versions are false gospels, anti-gospels. These modern bibles are designed for all religions to accept the bible; but taking out the truth makes them a lie. So it's not surprising if someone asks, if there are hundreds of bibles, how do I know which one is the true Bible? KJV is the truth, Jesus is the Truth. There are 2 things about God that all people in history know: They know that God exists, and that he's powerful. Therefore, he is also able to preserve his word, in his Bible: KJV. Matthew 24:35 KJV - Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 4:4 KJV - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. God bless! And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:8-11. May God continue to bless your ministry through His word.

Great Video. I don't know why people have believed in a Friday to Sunday Easter Nonsense for so long thinking it represents the Death and Resurrection of Christ. Thank you....

Hi all! 😃 Correction: The Jewish (Biblical day) does not begin at 6:00 pm, but, as mentioned, "At Sunset." Week to week, that time varies and in Israel is often before/after 6:00 pm.

@Anita Hiltz Nowhere in the Bible is it taught that God (Christ) changes the Sabbath! That "honor" goes to the early Ronan Catholic Church and it's honoring of the sun-god, Mitras. The Sabbath is in the 10 commandments written by the Father's Hand. It is are sign to the world of the creation cycle. Exodus 31 13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. 14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you."

You are nick-picking. There simply had to be a designated time...just as we have. Also summer days or longer than winter days etc, If this werent the case there would be much confusion. There were NO clocks in those days even thought how they detected 6:00 PM I am not sure but it is widely accepted. Can you offer a better timeline????

Jesus stated there are 12 hours in a day. So 3 days is 36 hours, and 3 nights is 36 hours. Jesus could not have risen any sooner than the 9th hour on the day He rose. We know the tomb was empty Sunday morning at sunrise. So He had to have risen on Saturday Nisan 17. Which means He died during the 9th hour on Wednesday. Thursday that week, was the high sabbath.
