Assalamoalaikum. Thank God. Today, scholars like Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad are uncovering the tragic history of partition of India. Sir, I believe, Jinnah was strong secular, deep in his heart but a hypocrite. He was an embodiment of western values. But he posed himself as Islamic to befool the Muslims in order to achieve his plan to create a country for himself and the selfish jageerdars to rule and ultimately LOOT.

It is wrong to say that their was a participation of India. In 1947 only Punjab was divided. Bengals was divided early. Once you are on the road of separation from a state, you have to have a reason that could eventually become a movement of the masses. The masses historically have been guided by ulemas who see their own opportunity in guiding people on the lines of separating from kufr. Hence Jinnah was always hesitant in defining the purpose of Pakistan fearing backlash from seculars and religious lobby alike.
