i think you got Fiifi's point wrong. He meant that if they wanted the film to be bright, they could have easily done it because even the cameras they used are capable of very bright pictures. The color style and exposure was a choice based on the setting of the storry. Thats it.

The Sigma 18-35mm art lens is a wonderful lens, and like you said...it's not the gear but who uses it. I'm a hobbyist. You should experiment with vintage lenses. There is this look they provide that I can't seem to replicate with modern glasses. And to be honest, I have never been impressed with the color grading of west african films. Maybe that's because I have seen too many movies with excellent grades.

That's exactly what I also noticed. Filming in 6K has nothing to do with 'merely brightness'. There's more to it than just that. Using terminology does not infer you are good at what you do, but how to explain yourself comprehensively and effectively does.

Bro, I guess u also got it wrong or didn't hear what he said or didn't understand. He said , the camera he used was 6k and that 6k cameras are clear and has bright pictures but he decided to make it or graded it

A camera being able to film in 6K has nothing to do with EXPOSURE. 'They used a BMPCC6K', and to tell you the truth, it has it's shortcomings under low light situations. If you know the limitations of your camera, the resolution it yields is just a bonus and not a determinant of brighter or clearer image quality. So what he said in my opinion is still incorrect. Secondly, grading it 'darker' as a style will render his explanation void because why will you go for a 6K camera you claim to shoot 'bright' imagery only to make it underexposed as a consistent style in post production 🤔 Mind you, I teach filmmaking here on my channel, and so I am also under scrutiny with what I put out there. I research and experiment with the tools and equipment I speak about, so I am always to be ahead of those I create content for else my views are irrelevant. Plus, I also film on a BMPCC6K PRO.

You did try to explain…But 1950’s and 1983 are different times. I actually like the warm grading of lilwin’s movie. You’d realize in all those movies you showed, the colour is warm and “dark” or for the case of some, it’s almost black and white. That’s because they also wanted us to relate to the times. Anyway, you got most, not all.

Well explained .. just a little disagreements with the production of images. I mean i totally don't agree with Fiifi Gharbin with regards to a 6k camera producing a brighter image..there are several factors that contribute to stunning visuals..as much as most cameras are capable of producing high quality images based on technical knowledge and it's application, high end cameras stand a higher chance of serving sweeter images and producing sweet colors and visuals.

It is a good submission, but video resolution does not necessarily impact exposure. It is Log or camera RAW that does in post-production. The resolution affects the sharpness and details of the image

Why do we feel so entitled in this country? 😂 Someone has done his movie and shot it with a concept in mind, with his interpretation of a particular time in the world according to his artistic view and you sit some where thinking your criticism of the movie is valid? I don’t agree with Lilwin’s use of insults to address KS, however like lilwin said, the movie is not even out and we are out guns blazing criticizing it for color grading that he and his team wanted? Ei😂. Even a pro like Snyder uses his own color schemes for movies which are usually darker in tone. Where is the criticism for that? Borye!😅

I spoke about what the director said in explaination on the radio interview and not what the movie is. @@Kobbyshots trust me I am well aware of rotten Tomatoes scores and their critics. Snyder’s movies are barely criticized based off color gradients but on the content of the whole movie. And what I’ve read so far in the film industry, in critiquing a movie there are about 7 things to consider and color gradient is not even mentioned. If movie critiques were all about color gradings we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. And my earlier comment was not to you but to KS studios. Moreover like I said the movie has yet to be shown and we are where we are cus of sentiments

@@Kobbyshots if we are going to be taken seriously in criticizing a movie then let’s do it based off the content of the movie. Josh Whedon directed Justice League with a bright color equal to that of marvel movies, yet Snyder’s cut was rated higher than his version even with a darker tone. And if you watch Snyder’s movies they always carry a dark undertone and color gradient. Dark night Trilogy is the best movie out there and u should compare its gradient to other movies. Pretty Dark! Yet it has higher scores on Rotten tomatoes than almost all marvel movies.

Frank mentioned setting and said Sheldon doesn't know what setting is. You have decided to promote yourself by talking about settings, grading, quality, etc, as if you know these better than Frank.
