5:42 Respectfully, while I wholly agree with your stance on Dynasty Warriors, it has nothing to do with Feudal Japan. This series has 9 main entries all based on "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", which takes place in 3rd century China, long before feudal Japan. Again, you're right to call it "same-y", but it's more so because Koei Tecmo keeps re-using the same story that occurs in a particular time in China's history, with more or less the same game mechanics.

The new Astro Bot game looks AMAZING!! The two previous games in the Astro series are critically acclaimed. The Astro Bot: Rescue Mission VR game has a 90 pro critic score and 9.0 user score on Metacrtic and Astro's Playroom (the free pack-in game that comes with the Playstation 5) has a 83 pro critic score and 9.0 user score on Metacritic. The only main knock against Astro's Playroom is that it was only 4 hours long. This new Astro Bot game coming this September looks AWESOME and looks be of a good amount of length and appears to be ramping up the pure INSANITY of Astro's story (A Playstation 5 that transforms into a space war ship for a space battle / rematch with the main alien villain of the original VR Astro game that's now trying to invade the new Astro game. That alone is worth it. I'm pre-ordering). Astro is cementing himself as the Playstation's mascot and he deserves it. I love that little robot!

This game looks really bad in the gameplay itself, maybe the studio will going to improve, but if the game will going to be released in the current state, do yourself a favor and wait for a massive sale, because paying full price for it, will just piss you off.

I'm with you. The only reason I haven't got rid of my PS5 is the huge library of PS4 games I have. Console gaming feels just about dead, but I tell ya my kid and I have a blast playing the Switch and the Evercade together. Plus, the Steam Deck has revitalized my love for PC gaming.

Still one of my fave content creators telling the truth on the state of gaming these days. The industry is at the point where they don’t know who to bookend for meaning they keep pumping out game’s with different kinds of elements that will MAYBE appeal to say shooter fans but with RPG elements while having a childlike style with no soul. Then you have the REMAKES AND RERELEASES!! Really?!? Until Dawn?!?! The graphics suck! Looked way better on the ps4, leave it alone! I’m still playing my PS4 games and only really played FF rebirth and have yet to find a pure game to play; maybe Steller blade, but I’ve already played Neir so what’s the point lol silent hill is the only one worth waiting for at this point.

I only know this because of my girlfriend, but Nikke was an old mobile game she used to play. It basically was a dress up game but eventually was packed to the brim with microtranscations, so she quit playing it years ago. I think I read that the person who designed the open world for Zelda: BOTW was heavily involved with this game. It might have been in an older trailer or something. Naturally, she is interested in this, but it's a nostalgia purchase for her as well.

I feel you on the feudal Japan, dynastic China stuff. My whole life, I've been a huge fan of that kind of stuff, but I'm all samurai'd out with seeing 2 to 5 games in every showcase using that motif. It's gotta be something special to hook me, like a sequel to Sekiro or Ghost of Tsushima. In recent years, a game like Sifu really did it for me, to tap into my love of martial arts movies instead.

State of Play turned out to be more like state of decay

You definitely should try an ARPG (like Path of Exile, Diablo, Torchlight, Grim Dawn, etc). It took me way too long to try this kind of game (I only got to play them in my early 30s) and nowadays ARPGs are one of my favorite gaming genres. They're really fun and usually the story doesn't get in the way of dungeon crawling.

People be saying that they agree with Sony porting games to PC, but just like M$ that is the problem. Both of those companies are no longer focused on their console, which is why they both lack first party games and pushing GaaS. Notice the decline of both Xbox and PS started when they went to PC. Consoles need first party exclusives and that breeds competition. Just go back and look at E3 2013, 3014, 2015 and 2016. Look how hard Sony and M$ went back then. Well M$ before 2016, which was the year that they put their games on PC.

To be honest, everything that they displayed, was planet safe. That, add new games wasn't ready to display, and they will probably showcase more games, before this year is over, this is still, the beginning of the year. All of that aside, I feel that you were just being picky, abacus, I've gotten excited for most of these games, especially the dynasty warriors.

The 1st monster hunter game I got into was worlds. Let me tell you, it’s fantastic! Give the new one a shot. Lots of free post launch content & support as well. Seriously

Astrobot was a nice surprise. Very excited for that one and the only PS exclusive in that presentation interestingly enough.

They took some live service garbage that deserved maybe a one-minute teaser and devoted a third of their entire presentation to it. Talk about skewed priorities. The reality is that Concord is a huge risk. Very few live service games are actually successful, and most of the ones that are successful have been established in the market for years. That Dynasty Warriors in Japan game looks very "meh" to me. I'm sure it'll appeal to a niche market, but I have no interest in it. Marvel Rivals looks shallow and pathetic. How are they trying this again when they've already seen that Marvel's Avengers and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League have both flopped? Do they think THEIR live service abomination is somehow going to succeed where those failed? I was a little underwhelmed by Silent Hill 2's graphics, but that's mainly because Senua's Saga: Hellblade II has shown what's really possible with Unreal Engine 5. It still looks good, though. Some of the environments even look great. As long as they nail the tone and storytelling, I'll be happy with it. I wasn't expecting an Astro game to be the most exciting part of the show for me, but here we are. Astro Bot looks like a legitimately great game.

If I had a PS5, that's a game that I'll play, in spite of me is pretty much done with realism, when it comes to worlds and characters.

I tend to play a lot of sports games, and it’s more rampant when playing Madden, NBA 2k, and it’s creeping in the WWE 2k games too. Every once in a while I’ll get on Fortnite, and it’s fine to play for a handful of battle royales.

I went to the “PS5 Must Haves” on the PS store and 70% of the games were not PS5 exclusives. I lol’d when I saw Cacoon (included in Gamepass), Hades (included in Netflix) and Fortnite (ftp everywhere).

PoE 1 is very unfriendly to beginners, and poe 2 is looking to address the vast majority of it's pain points making the game more approachable while NOT taking out what makes it cool, it's depth and complexity.
