What the heck does "copied" mean in this instance? Taylor wrote the song Better Man that won. Song of the Year is for the songwriter not the artist who sang the song. Taylor wrote the song for herself then decided it would fit Little Big Town better and asked them if they wanted it. I think Little Big Town won an award for singing it that night. This is from the Country Music Awards.

My husband is a huge fan of Taylor, I believe she is insanely talented but I didn’t care for her music early on. I still remember the first time I heard Tim McGraw by Taylor and just didn’t care for the sound. Looking back it was more of me feeling she wasn’t ‘country’ enough honestly. She is definitely one of the hardest working artists, a huge inspiration to so many people, has financially donated to countless organizations and even her own employees, etc. so I have only respect for her now.
