My husband attended the NRVIA school to become a Certified Inspector in January 2021. We share our thoughts on the school and the NRVTA as well. The campground was great to stay and that makes it even better because you will be there for a long time if you plan on getting either certified as an RV Inspector or an RV Technician. We share real dollars information and our one negative a the end. Thanks for watching!

Thank you very much for this unbiased information. I am interested in doing this and have nothing but good vibes about the organization. You have secured my feelings about the school. BTW- you guys are hilarious! I did watch you at regular speed and enjoyed it very much. Much success to you both.

Thanks! Funny thing is that we just rewatched this video the other night and thought my goodness we need to do another video and catch everyone up. My husband is in school now and will finish in early 2022. He still thinks the school is a great investment but we are staying at a cheaper campground about 20 miles away.

Hello I'm new to your channel. I found your channel through a comment that you made on Jarhead and Gingers Journey video. Having a trade or good knowledge in something when your out on the road full-time RVers or Part-time RVers. Is very essential nowadays. A way to make extra money in some shape of form is very essential. We just sold everything and went full-time RVers last December. I also have a few videos that you can check out

My husband will be an RV Inspector and an RV Technician so we are expecting him to be busy. I will support him in the background. What job are you doing to be able to live in your RV full time?

I stumbled upon your video and really liked it. A question for you guys, is your RV inspector/technician business making any money? Good to have your insight for people looking to do a career change. Thanks a lot for your reply.

We have just started our new career and it's slow going because we are living in FL now versus TX. We do want to get more experience with RV's before jumping in 100% so my husband plans on applying for jobs at local dealerships. We did make friends with a local inspector and that relationship has been a godsend because my husband had been able to help him on inspections and technician calls. We believe a good collaboration is important.

We are in the middle of a very long process in selling our home. We've been delayed 4 times and the stress has been high. We will make a video on our way up to Elkhart, IN to pick up our rig. Hopefully that happens the first weekend of June. Thank you for watching and reaching out.

We worked in Florida for over 6 months and did a lot of inspections and some consistent warranty work for Vanleigh and Alliance RV. Both companies were great to work with. We always got paid and learned a lot. My husband did end up getting a job at a general RV dealership and learned way more than what the school taught but the dealership had never heard of the school which I thought was weird. In the end, we went back to truck driving as a team because we have a consistently high income now. My husband only made $23 per hour at the dealership but we made significantly more, $135 per hour in Florida in 2021. Again, we learned so much and looking back it has been a part of our life journey, no regrets.

i am on the fence of either attending truck driving school or rv tech / inspection school. i heard you mention that you are making a switch from truck driving to the rv world..i am interested in hearing your reason of making the switch.
@LoadedUpandTraveling
@LoadedUpandTraveling 2 жыл бұрын
My husband has spent so much time away from his family while truck driving that we made the switch to be together more often. When we were team drivers for 10 years, it was ok and we loved traveling the country but now that we are soon to be empty nesters, we needed more time with our daughter.

I'm watching your video in Feb 2022. Are you making any money as an inspector. My concern is spending $6000 and not making any money. Im sure as a RV tech there is money but not sure as an Inspector

My husband is staying a truck driver until Sept 2021 and then will attend the RV Technician School. We see emails every week asking for Inspections across the country from the NRVIA school.

When would someone require an RV inspector? Prior to calling a tech or prior to buying an RV..please advise.

Before buying an RV, just like when you buy a house and want to do a home inspection to ensure you don't have any hidden major repairs. However, you can also do an inspection after you purchase your RV just for peace of mind.

These are similar to other trades where you have to maintain education thru the years to keep your certification. My husband says that taking all of the Master RV Technician courses will give him plenty of what he needs but I do know that colonies like Lippert and Victron have classes on their products. Maybe even Morryde has them too. We'll have to find out if those are able to used as continuing education units.

My husband is just now finishing the courses required for Master RV Technician. We wanted to have both under our belts before he left truck driving. We launch win mid February in Florida but will travel after the summer to the north. So, I don't have anything to share yet but the networking that you have access to thru the school is great.

The reason for pc and not Mac is because PC is more for utilities and business programs. Macs are for what I call "pretty" things. I e. Photography, videography, more artsy type stuff. But the majority of business companies use oc because it's more extensive with tools you need for non artsy business stuff Now I can't STAND apple. However, it is superior for the arts over pc. But for business, PC has that one.

I'm a creator and I've owned photography business so I've loved Apple for a few decades now. We actually chose a different software that works fabulously on the iPad. It did not need a monthly service fee.
