I've been using same technique for 3 weeks (detangle using coconut oil for pre wash in twists, wash in twist one direction stroking action etc). My hair is so much better with less breakage and next to no tangles and single strand knots. Always dry naturally in braids keeping it stretched. This TLC hair regime has done wonders for my hair. Your video has added further inspiration so thanks. Blessings and peace to you by God's grace 🤗

@AmandaD33
@AmandaD33 5 жыл бұрын
When switching into a new wash day routine make sure you do it consistently because your hair will become trained to your new routine. I finger d'tangle exclusively and it looks similar to this but I over manipulate my hair because I like to do a twist out almost daily but I never use Combs so my hair still growing and I am removing shedding reducing knots just by doing chunky twist every night with my hands water cream oil ... I used to do wash and go but once it was long enough I started sleeping with chunky twists to reduce Tangles not focusing on definition ... if you focus on health over time, the hair that's not healthy will become a memory once your hair is full and healthy. Out with the old in with the new

My hair texture is similar to yours. But alot shorter. What kind of hair is that. I know no hair is exactly the same . But I just really want to to what kinda of hair I have. I even watched you hair tutorial on the difference between 4c hair and for 4b. My hair is always really dry but when I get it .It so soft and look alot like 4b hair but when it's dry it look like 4ç hair . I eventually got tired of combing it out everyday and oiling and greasing my scalp. Because I felt like I got alot of breakage . I thought my hair hair was falling out .so I just got locs. So I want to no can I still do the same hair care regimen that you do that you do with locs. + The rice water regimen. Witch I enjoyed watching your tutorial on that. Thank you so much for the videos and knowledge on hair care. 💙

Are you ever afraid that when you wash your hair in twist that the shampoo will stay in your hair?
@CravingCurlyKinks
@CravingCurlyKinks 5 жыл бұрын
No I don't experience that because I have been doing this for years, and so I guess I am used to doing it. All you have to do is rinse your hair thoroughly. You can check for shampoos if you squeeze your hair before getting out of the shower.
@AmandaD33
@AmandaD33 5 жыл бұрын
Its like washing locks...and afro texture hair is like a sponge when twisted. The texture causes gaps that the water gets through just fine with a gentle squeeze.. I wash in twists in bathroom sharing situations to stop hair fall in the shower and for reducing tangles and breakage.

This is the best herbal shampoo that I've ever used for my combination hair. I believe that I have 4b mostly with 4c in the back. No flakes, no crunchiness and smells pleasant. arganlife shampoo for natural hair routine creates wonderful texture with twists but doesn't shrink my hair too much.

This is time consuming. Being natural is hard
@AmandaD33
@AmandaD33 5 жыл бұрын
Its not harder to me but does take time. Keeping up with perms was so hard to me cause i lost a ton of hair, damaged and burned scalp to treat and heal, flatirons and combs and brushes all destroy my hair weaves hurt and caused balding on my edges...i thought id never have length! At 21 i began Treating my hair like she does here. Now my hair is growing down my back..locks are lower maintenance but ALL haircare needs some time invested. This isnt daily..this is wash day. And this wash day is for length retention on tightly coiled easily broken afro hair. there are simpler routines for those that have easier textures to handle. Being natural should be the first thing we learn growing up. Self care should never feel like a hassle.
