WASH N GO using PATTERN BEAUTY products| TYPE 4 natural hair

Hey, yall! Today, I am trying out all Pattern Beauty products for a wash n go on my Type 4 natural hair. Yes, I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried some new products (I haven't done this in about 3 years or so). Do I like Pattern Beauty? Does it work on my hair? Will I ever use it again? Have you ever tried putting your leave-in or cream on in the shower. Reduces frizz and product absorbs better in to strands, preventing product build up=flakes.

Ive tried to do my entire wash n go in the shower before... once. I got so frustrated because I couldn’t see what I was doing! Lol. But I definitely think that would’ve also benefited me with these products. I have never experienced flaking with my regular products though whether inside or out of the shower😩

This is one of the few more positive reviews of Pattern Beauty that I seen. I haven’t brought anything yet, but when I do I know for sure I’ll be getting the pick, the edge comb, the strong hold gel and the curl gel. I hear the Curl Gel is really similar to another product I use. I did see that someone mentioned applying your leave-in in shower. I do the same a find that what ever leave-in I use just works better, and my hair stays moisturized for about 5 days vs 3 days. It’s something about the steam. But I’m excited to see your second go around with the Pattern products.

Ok! So yes! I think people are very quick to just trash a product because of fakes, etc, when it very well may be the way we apply the products, which is why I’m going to try it again. Also, I’ve heard people say that Pattern is for “white people hair”...... lol. And I honestly hardly ever use a leave in with my wash n gos unless I’m skipping a cream/butter and going straight to a gel. As far as the flakes, My hair FELT good and looked good the first day. I didn’t see flakes until Day 3 when the gel cast broke🥴. Now, the one thing that I can say (and this is just my opinion) the products are very pricey. I can get the same results (or better) with my OG wash n go products for half the price. I really want to try the curling cream with Xtreme Wetline gel! Sorry that was so long lol

I'm type 4a too. I think the products are concentrated and we don't need to use as much.

Thank you!!! And I used Redken shampoo. Most times I’ll use Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with water and spray it on my scalp and hair.

Hmm idk sis, I was looking through your other videos and your hair has definitely looked better. This wasn't shiny at all, and the top of your head wasn't even really defined. The flakes are a definitely no-go too, even if you did use too much product, I feel like products from the same line should mix together anyways! But either way, the pineapple was popping! So at least the ends looked good lol

I can agree with this!! I literally just commented back to someone else that I have gotten better results with my OG wash n go products for less than HALF THE PRICE! I think it’s good for day one hair lol. But I honestly did like the less defined, fluffier look for a change... I think the product is good... but not worth the price. But I was thinking the same thing... why would the same line of products not mix well together.. regardless!

How did you get your hair to grow so long and thick?

One of these day, I’m going to do a hair journey video. But! I don’t manipulate my hair much. I don’t straighten it often, i don’t dye it, I don’t do funky styles, I get my ends clipped when needed. I basically leave it alone. But this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think 50% of the battle is genetics. My mom had long thick hair back in the day!

I'm curious what your hair porosity is? I have low porosity and always have this problem

I have low porosity hair! definitely. The crazy thing is, ended up using these products separately with other products from another brand, and THEY DIDN'T FLAKE. crazy. lol.

I believe it’s worth a try. They have travel sizes with these products, so if you really want to try it out, get the smaller size and see if that works first rather than spending $25/ product and I it doesn’t work🥴
