here are reasons why i hate Hoover washers: 1. extremely noisy (i would buy Indesit over Hoover) 2. Low quallity drum that breaks easilly 3. they move like crazy when spins

Perhaps the most quick and painless decimation of a terrible modern Hoover washing machine I've seen so far. I have seen the Buster Hotpoint video haha, nearly just as quick. Tub still needed a 2 more beatings on this though.

It was a very good for a modern machine. For one thing it used a brushed motor which not even really good machines use nowadays but I strongly dislike the cheap ABS drum housing and the steel they used wasn’t very thick. I’d actually buy a Hoover over a modern Hotpoint. Also, I highly doubt that Hotpoint’s are still made in the UK as they don’t last as long however my new machine is doing pretty well surprisingly. 😀 Sure I get that brushed motors are known to spark and all that but brushed motors have to be designed to a safety standard. Plus brushless motors aren’t a good choice really. They’re underpowered and don’t deal well with large loads. Inverter motors are nice but they have some catching up to do before they can be as good as brushed machines. All in all I’ll miss this machine.

yes, hotpoints aren’t made in the uk anymore their dryers are. this machine was nice when it worked shame about the issues

I never trusted modern brushless motors and I don't like them. Too futuristic and electric-sounding. Too modern and I hate modernity. Modern washing machines are in general made of thin cheap metals and plastics because it's easiest to manufacture with. The easier the materials are to use, the quicker to manufacture, the quicker to sell, but also the weaker the materials are. No company really cares about doing the right thing any more. Just making money. So they use cheap ass materials and put lots of technology in new washing machines to sell more in a shorter period of time, and they just "oh tell you to get a new machine and not repair the old one" as soon as literally any washing machine breaks down. Doesn't matter whether it's new and crap or if it's old and great. Those f***ers just want money. We've got to stop trusting companies lads! And we've got to stop the laziness and excess consumerism around the world and start f***ing repairing our older, stronger and simpler machines...

there will be an update of that soon. it’s still here but undergoing repair. it’s currently on top of the hoover dryer waiting for a new spider and bearings
