I didn't used to like your wash and talks much. But I realized I was watching/listening to them wrong. Now I put one on while I work on or wash one of my own cars, and it's like having someone to hang out with while I putt away in the garage. Thanks for making these, I am loving all of your content more and more these days. Maybe it's a bit of your content getting more entertaining, or maybe a bit of me growing up and appreciating your slower paced super attention to detail takes more than I used to. But I'm loving it now!

im really a fan of matts growth in the social interactions! as he mentioned he is less abrasive but the attention to detail and the process is still there, its just easier to digest. every time i think ill just start this long video and see how far i get, its no surprise that i usually make it the whole way through and even wish it were longer lol.

I really like the good, better, best apparel idea, could be really cool! Somethings are just hard to get supply wise and most wouldn’t think on $100 plus T-shirts would stay out of stock, or $300 jeans, or $500 boots (so help with that could be useful) but those are the same people don’t understand the hoops one would have to through to purchase a $250k+ GT3 RS, or $500k+ 812 nor why someone would or would want to do certain things to attain these things outside of materialistic, egoistic values. I hope this made sense, that the tone was right. I don’t want a bunch of stuff, I do aspire that the stuff I do accumulate is good stuff. 🤷‍♂️tangent🤷

I had a e92 335is in lemans blue...absolutely loved it and it was mint, low miles....then a driver rear ended me and totaled it. that was 3 years ago and I still miss it.

A lot of people can’t relate to how difficult it is to be truly present in the moment and “live” the experience rather than doing the physical thing, but your mind is elsewhere. It’s taken me a long time to figure that out and detailing cars for fun (or other hobbies, like photography) have accelerated my skills to being present.

I think when people mentioned having a podcast, which you do have and I listen too, (Dailed In- Some Obsession Required), sometimes I can catch it live, they wanted to you put all the wash and talk audio on the podcast? I don’t know how much extra work that would be ( probably not much)or even if you have the incentive to do such a thing but it would be nice to just have the audio outside of KZfaq. Oh and maybe a Discord instead of facebook? I don’t know how that would impact Inside the HEX, but an alternative younger focus.

Matt would you recommend a BMW E92 M3 or F80 M3. Been looking at both for a while and have only ever driven a F80 M3. But I did love my E92 335i

The E92 is super slow in comparison to the F80. I also think the F80 looks better. But...flaws and all, I'm picking the E92.

What you were saying about being present and enjoy the process of getting to your end goal and not focus or stress about the end goal so much… was so BORRRRING… (I’m joking geez)… anyway it made me think (I know… “if you weren’t thinkin you wouldn’tna thought that” it’s a Sandlot quote…) about how I tend to have a particular end result or goal in mind and while doing things toward that goal I am thinking how is this going to get me any closer to said goal which then becomes an excuse to not do whatever it is I was going to do… though now that I think about it… it seems my issue would be more planning related whereas you have a plan and are executing said plan but you want to enjoy the process of executing the plan as well as the end result. Interesting… But you know what they say one man’s pipe dream is another man’s treasure. Will you be adding peptides to your diet / supplement regiment?

First I want acknowledge the sandlot quote, I have seen that movie so many times I heard the voices from the seen as I read it, my uncle (not uncle Matty 😂😂), love that movie. The boring 😅😂😂 stuff is really the best stuff! I don’t know much about much but I think I understand the sentiment or place you are coming from, for me it has been about “getting to the results” after all its results that matter!?!? However as I experience more I value how I got to the result, did I earn it, do I deserve it, can I maintain it? A Matt speaks to progression, to steps a good amount, appreciation for the consistency, the persistence. Matt also speaks on the chase, I have got to the result a few times and it wasn’t as “special as I thought it would be, I wasn’t that happy about it honestly, it was more of a “what now”, or “that was a waste” type feeling. So I say all that to say maybe it is something in the nuance, the process and in time we figure it out. Just wanted or thought hearing something similar from someone else could be useful 🤷‍♂️. I a big planner I planned my life since elementary, what middle school, what high school, the classes, the courses, what college, the career path, extracurricular activities, grades, and now I don’t know do I stick with the plan, do I blow it up (I am classified as a college senior I turn 20 next year), I like some of the work, I dislike most of the professors…. I think Matt will get on peptides, interested in his response as his regimen doesn’t really call for it.

@@chuckehrlich No, I've had company cars in my contracts...BMWs always suck. Colleagues who a ignorant enough to get one normally swap it first chance. I'd never put any of my own money into one of those sjitboxes, that's for sure. I'm not an IDIOT. I always try to get a Camry, but not snobby enough, so I get a Lexus. RELIABLE and cheaper to run because of that, and parts and services are way cheaper (and better), and Toyota tends to have HONEST service people too.

finally Matt is digging the european prewash+wash way :D And yes you hit pre-wash with pressure "bottom to top" just because you would not be able to see where you have not hit it with pressure if you would do traditional top to bottom and rinse everything off quickly🤌
